New Super Mario Bros. Wii is also the first Nintendo game to feature a dynamic help system, which allows you to access a mode showing how a level can be completed if you are stuck. The best thing about this mode is that you are free to jump into the action you’re watching on screen at any time! - Nintendo of Europe product page

It seems as though it will take control away from you and run it for you, as opposed to just showing you. Makes you wonder what (if any) negative consequences they'll impose

I think it's a good idea. Like Dara O'B said on Gameswipe the other night, if you've purchased something you shouldn't be denied access to all of its content simply because you can't beat a certain section of the game. Those who don't want to use it don't have to, and those who begrudge others using it should get out more.

I might actually use this. Not really of course, but I could have used this in zelda.

From what I understand, you go to a totally separate game mode that basically plays the level for you, and you can jump in when you want, but it doesn't count toward completion of the actual game.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

this is a neat feature

It is a good feature. Whenever I get stuck in a game I can press a button instead of searching the Internet for a walkthrough.

Good feature. I just hope the game won't be too easy as a whole.
