I think it was the obvious choice, since it's time to spread the olympics out. Next target would be a workable African city (a very limited prospect, but maybe they could do it in Cape Town)
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Well, he is from Argentina!
And he would just go there to steal my PS3!
Yes, in 2016, Zexen still wont have a PS3.
Given that Brazil's economy has progressed by leaps & bounds for the past few years, and shows no sign of slowing down, I think Rio is a great destination. Brazil is blessed with a fantastic country. Yes, they need to make a lot of changes to improve the city, but I think that the influx of responsibility will do more harm than good.
And let's face it: Where else in South America would you want the olympics? Caracas? Lima? Buenos Aries?
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Exactly. It will be kind of a test to see if we are up for the job. If we can handle bigger things.
We cant screw up now or the damage will be too severe.
And like I said, with the world watching. drastic measures will be taken.
There is a rumour going around here that for the Pan American, politicians made deals with the bigger drug lords. That they would restrain themselves, control their dealers to commit less crimes during the Pan and they would let them do thei "business" more easily after it, for a while.
So, Im guessing something like that will happen again.

Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo are better than Rio de Janeiro.

Sorry, but NO!!!!!!!
Sao Paulo is truly bad with traffic jams and it does not have the beauty of Rio.
And Buenos Aires, well its from Argentina. So thats your answer right there.
PS - I have no bias against Argentina. Zexen will vouch for me.
