Is anyone going to buy Wii Chess? Sure it's a Europe exclusive game, but it will probably be ported to America and Japan sooner or later, maybe sometime in 2008 or 2009, or maybe even 2010. It's planed to be released in Europe at the end of the year (2007). I don't know if the game will be published in Russia 2007, it should be. It's a tentative title developed and published by Nintendo exclusively for Wii. By the way, why shouldn't Nintendo publish this game outside Europe? It's just a question about when it will be released, not if...

This is another reason to buy a Wii...
...but the chess skill won't be so high, it will just be a fun thing to experience as a chess player. There will also be online gaming with Wii Chess. It's a revolution for both chess and videogames; A VIRTUAL CHESS GAME!!! You can't take the game too seriously. This game is meant to be fun, even for chess beginners and those who doesn't play chess at all. Maybe they won't be first at the leaderboards, but they MUST HAVE FUN, like the chess elites.

What do you think? Will the WORLDS FIRST VIRTUAL CHESS GAME become a success? I hope so, else it won't be funny to play Wii Chess on Wi-Fi (online)...

There's so little info about this game. Wii Gamer said this:

i do like chess, and online sounds nice, if you can have matches against random people as well as friends listed, and if it is considerably budget (£20 or less RRP, so i might be able to find it for less) then just maybe.

chess is my favourite board game after monopoly, but none of my family know how to play (and are not bothered about me teaching them) except for my sister who i taught, but she doesn't want to play very often (i think the main reason she ley me teach her was because we have a simpsons chess set)

If it's like chessmaster that has a ton of tutorials and strategy stuff to it, I would love to pick it up. If it's just a chess game in 3d with the wiimote, I think I'll stick to playing for free on sites like yahoo.

Nintendo keeps all info about the game secret... even that the game will be out at the end of the year. It's just a little more than 2 months left, how can they keep the game secret when they don't have time with wasting time like that? How can anyone buy it, when none know what the game includes, or even that the game exists?!?! They need to publish reviews and demos etc. of the game!!!

I don't think this will see the light of day this year. This is Wii Ware after all, right? With Wii Ware set to debut in Japan next March with Final Fantasy, I don't see us getting this that much sooner.

Wii Chess is finally added as a game in the Game Database!!!

Wii Chess is an upcoming video game for the Wii console. It is currently in development by Nintendo and set for release in winter 2007 in Europe.

The release will be no later than at the 31st December, in 2007 ofc. There are only 2 months left, so it's on the time to add this game to the Game Database...
