As far as I know, the best selling system made by Nintendo so far is the original GameBoy (original + GB Color units), with about 120 million units that were sold (or am I wrong here?)

At the rate the DS is selling, it´ll soon become Nintendo´s best selling system ever....you all see the weekly charts and know what a monster the thing is...back in 2004 I´d never have imagined that 'ugly' system (original phat model) would go on to be the system that not only will soon become Nintendo´s best selling system, but to also be the first system to really have the potential to surpass the PS2.

yes ds has sold amazingly well.when it first came out all were sceptical for it's sales because sony would bring out psp some months later with the playstation brand name behind it.but look at these years.ds is still selling like crazy and it has outsold psp by a very large margin.

It will become Nintendo's best selling console, and the most sold console of all time.

Wii will achieve that in 3 more years maybe...

And the 'phat' rules. I still use it. Its a testament to sturdy and good handheld design. I'll only upgrade when I get my DSi later.

steered clear of nintendo till someone gave me a ds, i loved it so much i went out and got a wii too

Yes DS is a truly great console that has performed spectacular. The day it becomes the best selling system of all time (beating PS2) I will celebrate by playing DS all day. In my opinion this could be Nintendos best generation ever. My previous favorite was the SNES era but DS+WII and all those great games for the systems may overtake it.

Go DS go! Truly deserved. I still wish the DS had some more 2D platformers or simple storyless action games for playing while watching TV though. Actually, it just needs for 2D platformers because they are awesome.
