Sony is staying strong in Europe.

360 is back on top of PS3 in North America... Price cut, slim, Uncharted 2 hype, just wasn't enough.

Expect Wii to be back on top next week...

Question is how will that affect the other two consoles...?

I suppose Halo 3: ODST helped shift consoles in the US after all. But still, 230,000 overall for PS3 is very impressive. I'm also impressed with Microsoft's hold on the US.

Strong for MS to keep the hold on the US

Not much between the US numbers for x360 and PS3 but PS3 way ahead everywhere else.

I had thought x360 would be further ahead in it's stronghold this week.

So after 3wks (or is it 4?) PS still king of the home consoles WW by a decent margin.

Wii sales are not where they use to be in comparison to the HD consoles.

Even without a major release the wii used to kick serious ass. Maybe most waiting on price drop? Don't know.

Overall great and good for all but must say the wii isn't used to it being this close.



Anyhow as the anti-PS3 fanboys have been saying since the first week of PS3 triumph.

"Next week it will be way down .....blah...blah"

Unless you have been under a rock since E3 gaming news everywhere is talking about how great a game Uncharted 2 is...  I know it will be a great game.  I expect nothing less from Naughty Dog, but the hype machine is in over drive...  Three weeks before release and review scores are coming out like crazy calling it "the best game of the generation", one, "the best single player campaign ever", etc.  Deservedly or not, it is hype nontheless...

Don't forget the $50 cashback as well, making the Elite effectively $249 at the moment. And yeah, I can't see the console names either, bit strange but I've been having issues with post formatting today as well, maybe the forum is having slight issues.
