if ps 3 sales stay 200.000+ per week,then yeah...he is serious,plus i believe this holiday ps 3 will sell 2x more than the xbox 360,in EUROPE

Yup and it will happen, the signs are already showing, ps3 dropping each week, 360 ahead in the us again this week and in the uk next week etc, it's just happening slower than I stated but it's still happening, the 360 still has this Christmas in the bag....

hmmm, XBOX360 is king in the UK for now but I'm sure that the gap will close a bit like in America. I don't think that PS3 will ever catch up to the xbox in the UK and America but I think the gap will lessen. I think all xbox360 fanboys will at least agree to that. GT5, God of War III and God of War series pack, and Uncharted 2 will definitely move PS3 units.

The economy is sinking and unless you have a lot of expendable cash, I think a lot of people would be hard pressed to buy 2 HD consoles. If you don't like HALO or Uncharted, I mean, you could go either way. A lot of games are released on both consoles now.

lets see.....PS3 dropped a MERE 8% this week.....the amount it drops will decrease & as its sales are lower this week the % figure in the drop will be lower too......

Xbox 360 had Halo ODST.....more importantly I think the Elite $50 rebate was in effect

HOWEVER....there is one thing which could happen:

Japan PS3 sales may drop rapidly as it was the Silver Week in Japan last week = more sales for consoles = bigger drop for PS3 this week

However even if PS3 does 30K this week in Japan....in EU it will be ahead by 30K, in Japan then by 26K & in NA? Xbox 360 will drop this week, so maybe 360 will be ahead by 9K

Either way, PS3 leads with atleast 40K next week, I don't see that figure going down...sorry

Looking at UK the 360 has a 1.4 Million lead with a lifetime to market lead of over 12 months, so it's probably going to hold the UK to a draw over time, but I'd hardly say it dominates. Going by the numbers it slightly outsold the 360 despite having a drop while the 360 saw a rise (probably due to ODST) so I think the UK is actually closer than it seems.

I should note I do consider the time to market factor important and not something to just ignore.

really? if you're talking about God of War 3, then you won't mind me mentioning GT5, WKC, MAG and Demon's Soul which is right around the corner. of course there's the non-exclusives like tekken, ff, cod... which i'll probably get for the ps3 (except for cod).

must be tough being a gamer if there's no games for you to look forward to when so many good ones are coming out.

The PS3 will out sale the 360 any where except for the USA. If MS keeps making consoles then it will be hard to win in the USA and most Americans love MS. I'm one of them that hate them.
