I'd love to know what the symptoms are so I can easily check for myself. I haven't been playing the Wii very often lately (busy with school) and I don't want to find out a month or two from now that this update caused a problem. I'd like to know now.
@wfz: Symptoms are that it just bricks. This is a base 2 update (comparable to kernel update), so if the update goes fucked, the console bricks.

Then Nintendo would find out when they repaired the system (unless it's an online patch).

Well this is the perfect response even if there isn't a problem.
"You didn't mod it? Ok. Send it to us. We'll open it up."
i think too much effort is put into taking out homebrew, i hacked my wii to play my brawl with unlimited replay data, w/o tripping and with texture/music hacks. its not like im stealing money from ninty by upgrading brawl.
