And yeas this thread is in response to evryone saying in the other PS3 thread that it will only hit 28 million and whatever. I think you should just look at the numbers and make up your own mind yh.

Lets just pretend that the PS3 does not sell one more unit untill october yh. Even though by october the ps3 will be at 25m+. ok

So we have 24,55m. PS3's

Last year. You know the year evryone said the ps3 floped. the PS3 sold

3,845,634 units from October 5th to January 3rd. That would mean the PS3 would sell 28,400,211 for 2009.

If the ps3 sells like the 360 did last year

5,698,557 units from October 5th to January 3rd. That would mean the ps3 would sell 30,253,574 for 2009.

So for the ps3 to be sub 28m then it will have to do worse then it did last year and not sell another console this month. And for the ps3 to do less then 30m. It will have to not sell another console this month and sell worse then the 360 did last year.

Going by your analysis.

I think it will hit 30 Million.

And btw, PS3 is doing ~235k this week.

i think it will, and will pass 360 now numbers 32 million by march 2010. or maybe earlier if it falls short no more than 1 million.

depends how FF13 pick up in japan.

In your OP you have 35m+ by October. I THINK you meant to say 25m+

It depends on the sales following the price cut.

I doubt it though.

Sony projected to sell 13 million this financial year, which means they need to ship 34.2 million by the end of March.

This means that Sony should have sold about 31 million to customors by the end of December.

Sony thinks it's possible :p
