The design isn't finalized, so who knows?

Take in to consideration that a Wii Nunchuck is nothing but the left half of a DS3 controller minus the D Pad.

Really, all SCE has to do is take a DS3 controller and split it into two separate halves. All the functions would remain the same with the addition of having one tracking/pointing device in each hand.

Or if SCE is absolutely set on the "wand" design, just make games compatible with twin wands and put two shoulder buttons, one D pad, one analog stick and four face buttons on them. Start/select and PS buttons can go wherever.

I'd say make the wands shaped to accommodate more of a "pistol" type grip like the Nunchuck or either half of the DS3.

On the second thought, I'd almost rather NOT have to buy two "wands" if I could simply use a DS3 for the analog/shoulder buttons to move a character around.

It seems awkward holding a two handed controller with one hand, but it's really only because nobody's used to doing that.

But two wands with separate motion and positional tracking would still open up all kinds of new gameplay possibilities. You just have to think a bit outside of what's currently available.

Although I believe the wand is more precise. R stick just isn't. Try some head-shots with it from a distance. Yes you can strafe, now try this again viewing through a small window.

Motion control is a lot more precise, only drawback is instability. Your wrist has to rest on your knee especially for longer sessions. A mouse is more reliable, but it lacks freedom "sitting on a couch".

It's a little awkward to hold those two controllers, it's a cheap solution which is good unfortunately an additional controller is a must.

About the game and gameplay in general. I don't like the onrail-shooter feel. Moving a cursor across the screen. I also want to aim with the wand. It seems like L stick has 360 movement, while it should only be back, forward and strafe.

I don't have much experience with the Wiimote. Are there any games on the Wii that use my described control scheme? It would be a big selling point for me... I assume the conduit has this kinda gameplay. Can anyone confirm?

Natal could be far superior. Face/voice recognition and any given object. Walking around would still be a problem and lack of triggers/buttons are too. I assume additional hardware is still needed.

Looked similar to gameplay videos I saw of aiming in Resident Evil 4 for the Wii. If the left stick only goverened moving forward, back, and turning then it's just like Resident Evil 4. However, the ability to side step was new for Resident Evil 5 so that'd be kind of dumb to remove it.

Okay, so here's the first Resident Evil 5 - Alternative Edition footage...

I know this is kind of off-topic, but I thought some people here might be interested.

They might give you the opion to change the side step by letting the reticule control the camera movement like an FPS/TPS on the wii.

It really isn't cool ebedded the video here and not linking to the embedded version on biohaze, that is the -only- video of it on the net and it is done by a fan site, you could at least give them the hits.

LOOKS GREAT , PLAYS PERFECT WITH THE MOTION CONTROLS!
