                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Good job Sony.  It destroyed the 360 in all regions except the UK, and even there it still outsold the 360 but 1k. 


I wouldnt say destroyed, the 360 is sitting higher then the previous weeks of the ps3, also if we want to say destroyed, look at the 360 and ps3 NA sales O.O

wait till usa....ps3 drop......japan drop.......you will be amazed.....the 40gb is number 11 in japan amazon pre order for nov. 11....3 systems in top 100, no wii in sight.......

With only 19.000 Wii's sold in Japan, no price cut and no new stellar title out, Wii is still ahead of PS3 (and its pricecut) and X360 (with its bigger seller ever) ...

Numbers are cruel, i know, but they kick... in the nuts, as someone already said...

And if you want to convince me that things will change dramatically by december, i'll tell you this: forget about it... the only change will be some stellar (galactic?) Wii sales, plus the "usual" phenomenal DS sales...

yes i see the same in amazon japan, but why?, is wii outsold? the wii dont sell? i dont know, the xbox360 is in this top and wii not, the two reason i can think is:

1)The wii is outsold in amazon japan

2) amazon is a otaku web in japan and is a Unpopular site.

but see his top 100 i can see that amazon sell very low, is impossible that the 360 outsold the wii in japan top 100 unless you sold very low units.

i haven`t mentioned a lot of titles, but well, does it matter?

when with 7,5 mln. x360 sold in usa, first week sales of:
DiRT - 55,715
Blue Dragon - 59,791
Eternal Sonata - 43,199
Project Gotham 4 - 90,113
i would call omg sales.
x360 users don`t care about good games.

only action games and FPS are selling good on x360.
Halo 3 - 2,634,108
Stranglehold - 164,119
MoH: Airborne - 141,457
Bioshock - 397,213
Two Worlds - 112,283
The Darkness - 118,818
only about fps and action games.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
