Square Enix has been hard at work on the newest addition, Final Fantasy XIII, for quite some time now. Fans of the series know that there are multiple titles within the Fabula Nova Crystallis saga being worked on at the moment. Now is a time to add Final Fantasy XIII: Zero to that list as well.

Though this is not a full title in it’s own right. It will be a series of stories that will be released that show events that lead up to the FFXIII title. The first story will be titled “Encounter”, and it will be made available to read online at a later date. Though no word on whether or not there will be English translations of the FFXIII: Zero stories.

Webcomic prequals seems kinda popular these days, White Knight Chronicles, Dante Inferno and Dead Space to name a few more...

So this means?...

It means you'll have something to do while you wait for the game to come out

I am quite surprised it is free while so many just release a comic that you have to buy...And I am pretty sure many would buy a FF comic...

A LE edition of the game with the comic would have been nice aswell.

Actually if the print copy IS only availible for for LE edition, it would make it pretty attractive for the collectors... its a nice gesture to make it a webcomic though....
