I'm planning to buy Advance Wars on the DS, but i don't know which version to get.

I like the darker look of Days of Ruin more than Dual Strike.

Dual strike on the other hand gets the better reviews.

Days of Ruin is a sequel, with good reviews,  to an already well-established franchise so it can't be bad right?

Maybe people who have played both games could help me out?

what are the pros and cons of both games compared to each other?

Depends, if you want more in terms of pure content then get Dual Strike.

If you want a more balanced game, with still plenty of content (just not quite as much) and competitive online multiplayer, get Days of Ruin.

Either way you'll get hundreds of hours of gameplay out of it.

Buy Dual Strike 1st, and Days of Ruin in a few months.

Go for Dual Strike first. It has more content and it'll probably be cheaper.

I havn't played Dual Strike, but i heard that some UC powers are unbalanced...about days of ruin the thing i loved much was the medal system, but there's also a lot of content...and the music is so great (pure rock!).

Dual Strike First. As much as I loved Days of Ruin after a few playthroughs I started to like Dual Strike better.

The dual CO's along with the dual maps makes the game a lot more interesting.

Both games are excellent choices but Dual Strike is regarded to be the better of the two, and I agree with this view. Dual Strike first then Days Of Ruin.

Dual Strike - better game overall, no online multiplayer though - only local play. So if the latter is crucial for you - get Days of Ruin instead, it has local and online multiplayer as well.
