Ok, let me go off on a tangent here.

The word "ignorant" is often used around here, and it's fine. It means that you don't know what you're talking about. You know who taught me that word was ok? Naznatips.

The truth here is Soriku had a very valid point to begin with, but a lot of people just got caught up on his language.

What he was trying to say is that when you call ToV on the PS3 a 1 year old port, you are attempting to marginalize the fact that the game was highly wanted by PS3 owners at the time, but was exclusive to the 360, which had a very small userbase in Japan, and thus, during that year, its main fanbase had no access to it, until its relaunch on a relevant Japanese console.

When you try to make ToV sales reflect well on the PS3 by marginalizing the importance and popularity of the game itself, you are spinning an argument, biasedly, in favor of the PS3, without acknowledging the games achievements at all. You are conviniently forgetting that the game is popular to the Japanese fanbase and to PS3 owners, and instead implying that all games would have similar results, simply due to the magnificance of the PS3.

It's dishonest and unfair, and those two things are far worse than simply being ignorant, which is what you would be if you didn't already realize all of the things I've stated in this post, yet commented on the subject anyway.

I don't know if you caught it, but the marjority of fanatacism in this thread has been aimed at the marginalization of the game itself, its popularity, and enhancements, in a controlled attempt to make the PS3 look like a fantastic software mover, capable of launching 1 year old 360 ports at a high velocity, with no acknowledgement given to this particular game.

I'm sorry, but you're under a misconception.

If I said that "All 360 fans are ignorant" then yes, I would deserve to be banned, because I'm generalizing an entire group with a phrase that could be taken as derogatory, and couldn't possibly be true..

If I said that you were ignorant of commonly accepted descriptive terms allowed by mods on the VGChartz forums, I would be stating a fact. You didn't know that the word "ignorant" is perfectly acceptable as long as it isn't delivered with the intent to humiliate or cause malice.

You see, it's often perfectly clear and factual when someone doesn't know what they're talking about. Just because you see it as a derogatory term, or because in some instances, certain people view it that way, it doesn't change its textbook definition, and the way Soriku used it, imo, is perfectly acceptable, and YOU should stop trying to get people banned because you don't agree with them.

ignorant can be used as lack of knowledge in a certain area, but that's not the guy took it.

but rather as similar to someone that it's stupid.

when you set him in that stage, even if by mistake, u should just have ignore him, now he can't post because of a misunderstanding.
