The only way I can think it won't happen is if it is succeded next year. Otherwise it most likely will happen.

hard to believe it can reach over 140,030,000 units that was the last report from Nintendo

Um I don't even have to look at the link to say that is bullshit.
http://vgchartz.com/hwtable.php?cons[]=GBA®[]=Total&start=32712&end=40062
Anyway I did look and 81,440,000 in others is what should have ticked it off as not being real.
^^ I checked on other sites and yes, Kotaku is totally wrong on those numbers. The number is closer to 81 million worldwide
The NES WAS the market in those days, but it's still impressive for a second place competitor to pass it up. Both the 360 and the PS3 will be lucky to even do it, especially if the next Xbox hits before 2013, and even if they do they'll still probably fall short of PSP sales.
You do not have the right to never be offended.
NES units is shipped and PSP is now close to 56 million shipped, so very, very soon.

The market is big enough now to support two handhelds with both being successful. The PSP didn't necessarily challenge Nintendo's dominance in the portable gaming space. And Nick is correct, the videogame market was very small back in the 8bit days. Even still, anything can be made into a milestone - and if outselling the NES is one... then good job, PSP. |
No other handheld has held more than 5% marketshare against Nintendo, PSP marketshare > 30%, and considering how dominant the DS is (on its way to selling 250million LTD), that is quite a feat. It will outsell the GBA as well.

that article could not be more wrong. GBA DID NOT SELL 140 million consoles, it sold 80 million worldwide.
