I'm not saying I condone the lack of the most important mode in GT, but I do feel like lumping this with GT5 aren't reasonable. They are not even in the same league. That's like saying if LBP PSP isn't a good game, it's telling for the next console iteration. Hardly... |
But what it does tell us is that the developer is willing to compromise in quality for expediency. That is something that wasn't even conceivable before this.

Well, we don't have proof of that, it's speculation. I'm sure many people will pick this up and just play to have fun. Lack of Career mode could be a bad thing (to me it is), or a good thing (some people will just want to pick up and play).
Either way, GT5 shouldn't be pegged with this, and that was my point.

But it will. And it certainly should be. If you want to release a driving game called Gran Turismo it will be held to Gran Turismo standards.
Halo Wars was different. It was a Halo game as a RTS. If it were a Gran Turismo RPG, haha, id see your point.
But PD made it. Its Gran Turismo. This will stick in many peoples minds unless they release a demo of GT5 early and quickly announce the features of GT5 in full to make people quickly forget this.
