If my analysis wasn't flawed, then it would cease to be an opinion.

If I post in absolutes, as always, assume that I am giving my opinion, when appropriate.

I respect your opinions Zen, even if I don't agree. I want you to know that...

@ point x: ? What does that mean?

Wow. Seems like a rush job then.

GT5 won't suffer since years were put into that. It would get good scores with just the graphics!

That's a damn shame.

Well, I think these reviews will hurt its sales. All I want to know is...

What the hell Polyphony?

"It looks like a maybe step down from Gran Turismo 4 on the Ps2, and given that this it the PSP that's very good."

"It doesn't have damage like you would expect"

Wait... You say it's a step down from a ps2 game... but it's okay because it's on the psp... but you expect it to have damage? Something the ps2 version didn't have?

well the fact the single player is the career... since you drive a car you own and the races change every day (in real life) , this IS Career mode... why they say it doesn't have a career mode?
you have the cars. you buy them everyday, you get the races you finish them and get more money to buy new cars.
isn't that career mode? cause last i remember Arcade mode was just quick races of cars you already own, and with tracks you select without money or anything.

IGN seems they didn't get it...

Yeah, I don't see what the difference between career mode and the pick up and play race mode on PSP... one other thing I didn't like about the review was his complaint about "You don't know if you have this car... untill you click on it" Is he really that lazy that he cant hit 2 buttons? One to click it and one to click back... I don't see how that's even... bothersome... but thats me.

Earlier in the thread when they said there is no career mode I thought to myself "what... so all the cars are unlocked and you just choose which when you want to race with and on what track.." But it's not like that at all.

Judging from the video review this game isnt as bad as the score would indicate. It runs at 60FPS with the same game mechanics that the GT4 was praised for, The graphics are beautiful. The career mode I can understand the complaints but ths sounds more like an 8 instead of a 6.8

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
