The reason I don't think that MTV planned this is that if they had done so, I think they'd have let Swift in on the act beforehand (less out of any sense of altruism and more out of fear of lawsuits). They don't seem to have done that.

I think Kanye is trying so hard to be a bad boy and make a name for himself. I doubt that he was gangsta when he was younger. He tries to walk around like he's bad with swag, he probably grew up as a regular kid in school and wants to be bad and hard now. Lil Wayne needs to show him something.
