Guys, I read several time that some people are buying their XBL subscription via other canal than the official XBLA-Marketplace.

I received an email with a proposition for half the price... it is common ? It is safe ?

Here we are talking about 26 GBP for a year...

Anybody has experience with dealing with those online shops ?

Depends on who the proposition is from. I got mine from buy.com for $30.

That is why I am a bit worried... I receive an email with a link to the shop.
They say they use Paypal but the terms & conditions section is a bit... short.

Post a link to the site you are buying from, also PayPal itself has a safe buy protection.

I use Amazon or Newegg.com because they have sales on XBL all year round.

Last year I got two XBL Gold cards for $28.99 each..

Newegg.com sells XBL for #39.99 year round.

And if you buy the Card instead of XBL you get 13 months or 12+1 months..

That gives you 13 months to find another deal on XBL Gold.

Amen.  Spent 34.99 on 13 Months of Live at Newegg last time I renewed. 

I agree with the op though, possibly shady sites = no sale for me.  Unless I here definitively that they are reputable.

I get from amazon.co.uk (i'm in france). Better deal than in france for both 12month and points.

It is a safe enough site to use, i've used it but the price doesn't include VAT so the price is actually just a bit over £30.
