Sonic Megamix is FANTASTIC.

So is Streets of Rage Remake.

Your right, if the fans can make such exceptional games as the two mentioned above, you would hope that Sega could do as good a job if not better with this new Sonic and Hopefully one day a 2D Streets of Rage 4.

I dont know if Sega sees value in SOR series anymore...I really hope they make it again and do it justice since SOR3 is my favourite brawler of all time...but if they aren't remaking shinobi, what chance does SOR have?

This is great news. Like others said a Wii Release should be considered as well, if they want to reach their maximum sales potential.

yeah, its great that it is coming but i just don't see sega not making a wii version. I mean the sonic games sell way better on wii. its just a bad buissiness strategy

Even when SEGA plans a new 2D Sonic people still manage to find things to whine about.

One person's whining is another person's analysis.

I think it is great if Sega can pull this off. But I also feel that if they want to sell, they need to not ignore the one console that has supported Sonic.

Looks to be 2.5D, and a similar style to the Adventure Island and Bonk remakes, in terms of color scheme.

 

EDIT: According to DomainTools, this site was registered August 21st, so it couldn't be something somebody whipped up in the last couple of hours for lulz.
