That choice might seem a bit odd so I'll explain it. It is the game this year that has surprised me the most seeing as I've never played the series before (obviously) and had no idea it existed before it released. It's the first baseball game I've played since Ken Griffey Jr Baseball on the SNES that I like which is great since baseball is the only sport I like but the video games are generally terrible. Lastly I've simply had more fun playing it than any other game.

lol normally id say "how can you say SMG when you havent even played it yet?" but i spose its an exception to the rule.... for me my best so far is re4 wii since i never played the gc or ps2 versions

Im labelling these on games that ive got the most fun out of:
Wii Sports
Super Paper Mario (Loving it at the moment)
Halo 3 (Multiplayer fun fun fun)
Excite Truck (Great single player, when i play with mates, we alternate single player rather than play multiplayer because its more fun)
Oblivion
I havent counted TP because technically i bought it last year, despite playing it a lot this year. Also havent counted any virtual console

This is such a close race for me. Bioshock has the story and graphics but Metroid Prime 3 has far superior game play, controls, and mechanics.

These games are both amazing and they are running neck and neck for me.

But Mario Galaxy looks like it might take the thunder from both these games. It looks like Mario 64 evolved and that immediately makes it a GOTY canidate even before playing it.
