There's nothing wrong with hating on Nintendo. If it weren't for the Wii, we would be one step closer to games being recognized as art. Like for example GTA IV which had oscar worthy dialogue.

Are you kidding me? thats a joke, right?

Check out IGN's GTA IV review and read the score table. I am not joking.

Well i was not refering to the job done by rockstar and Take Two, which i think is superb, not only in the script, but also in many many aspects.

I was refering to your comments about the wii. I dont want to say anything that sound offensive. I just saw the latest A BOY AND HIS BLOB Trailer, and  I gonna say I disagree with your statement that is the fault of the wii that the videogame industry is not recognized as "art". Whatever that means.

sauss, you're new here, so here's the score. Rol likes to spoof these kinds of views. Rol has what is known as "verbal irony", or written irony in this case. It's basically sarcasm without the clear indication it's sarcasm.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Ever since the announcement at E3 2008 that Final Fantasy XIII is going to be multiplatform between the PS3 and 360, there have been many complaints about Square-Enix with some Sony fans going as far as demanding that S-E should commit public sudoku in order to make up for the betrayal of their loyal fanbase. The game has become a constant target in the heated console wars and people are more concerned about how it's going to look on each system than how it will actually play and how much fun it will be. Debates like these are not what gaming is about, so here are five excellent reasons why Final Fantasy XIII should be a Wii exclusive for the sake of all gamers and Square-Enix as well:

1. There's no precedent of a main series FF game doing well on a losing system - FF XIII is a very risky project for Square-Enix, because a main series Final Fantasy game has never sold well on a console that was trailing in the market place. Why would it be any different this time?

Every main-series FF game has sold "well", period.

2. It would reduce the pressure on Square-Enix - We have seen it before with GTA IV from Rockstar. The game was supposed to kill the Wii and in the month when the game of the generation finally released, the Nintendo system nearly doubled the combined sales of the HD systems in the USA alone. Additionally many gamers thought that GTA IV didn't live up to its hype. While FF XIII is not supposed to kill the Wii (we are past these days), it's one of the remaining "saviors" of the PS3. Square-Enix might not be able to handle the pressure and possibly delivers a disappointing game.

The reason the Wii outsold the competition even when GTA4 released is exactly why the Wii is NOT a console for games like Final Fantasy XIII.

3. The Wii could really need a main series entry of a major JRPG franchise - Getting spinoffs can't be everything that the market leading home console ever gets, it's just not fair.

JRPG are mainly for Japanese. FFXIII is exclusive for the PS3 in Japan. Wii gamers are on to some other things like...casual games, and all of them from Nintendo, look at the top sellers in Japan, no Mario, No Zelda, seriously no one can expect any non-casual, non-nintendo game doing better than that.

4. The game needs to be dumbed down for the 360 anyway, so why not go the whole way? - Due to the current plans for a 360 version, Final Fantasy XIII is never going to be what it was originally intended to be. At this point any true Final Fantasy fan is already anticipating FF Versus XIII more than the real main series entry in the franchise, so the impact of sudden Wii exclusivity would be minimal.

Square is a forward-thinking company and thank God for that, if Nintendo wants to waggle all the way to the bank that's all cool, but not for SE ambitions with its major franchise.

5. Gamers hate the Wii anyway - Final Fantasy XIII becoming a Wii exclusive would barely change a thing. The PS3 still has FF Versus XIII and the 360 still has plenty of JRPGs. Sure, there would be another reason to hate the Wii, but in the grand scheme of things, it really wouldn't make a difference.

Funny you said "gamers", and I agree. Exactly why a real GAME like that won't even release as a spin-off for the Wii.

Is a Phoenix Down that crazy Final Fantasy magic?

I'm unfamiliar with it. Does it revive your party?
