Why you complaining anyways Dragon Quest X is for the Wii Only along with
Final Fantasy CC:The Crystal Bearers. So far only the Wii has a Dragon Quest title announced on it out of the Big 3. So stop being such a Nintendo Fanboy and simply enjoy what Square-Enix has in store for you.
If you want Final Fantasy 13 go get a Xbox 360 or PS3 and stop whining.

Wait I didn't read your whole post....

Why'd you LOL when you saw who the poster was and raged a serious response anyway?

Must be my split personality kicking in. :) LOL

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

oh Rol, some times you just try to hard, I wonder if your a try hard in real life, assuming it exist for you....unless your a real life troll?!?!? 0.o

Ever since the announcement at E3 2008 that Final Fantasy XIII is going to be multiplatform between the PS3 and 360, there have been many complaints about Square-Enix with some Sony fans going as far as demanding that S-E should commit public sudoku in order to make up for the betrayal of their loyal fanbase. The game has become a constant target in the heated console wars and people are more concerned about how it's going to look on each system than how it will actually play and how much fun it will be. Debates like these are not what gaming is about, so here are five excellent reasons why Final Fantasy XIII should be a Wii exclusive for the sake of all gamers and Square-Enix as well:

1. There's no precedent of a main series FF game doing well on a losing system - FF XIII is a very risky project for Square-Enix, because a main series Final Fantasy game has never sold well on a console that was trailing in the market place. Why would it be any different this time?

2. It would reduce the pressure on Square-Enix - We have seen it before with GTA IV from Rockstar. The game was supposed to kill the Wii and in the month when the game of the generation finally released, the Nintendo system nearly doubled the combined sales of the HD systems in the USA alone. Additionally many gamers thought that GTA IV didn't live up to its hype. While FF XIII is not supposed to kill the Wii (we are past these days), it's one of the remaining "saviors" of the PS3. Square-Enix might not be able to handle the pressure and possibly delivers a disappointing game.

3. The Wii could really need a main series entry of a major JRPG franchise - Getting spinoffs can't be everything that the market leading home console ever gets, it's just not fair.

4. The game needs to be dumbed down for the 360 anyway, so why not go the whole way? - Due to the current plans for a 360 version, Final Fantasy XIII is never going to be what it was originally intended to be. At this point any true Final Fantasy fan is already anticipating FF Versus XIII more than the real main series entry in the franchise, so the impact of sudden Wii exclusivity would be minimal.

5. Gamers hate the Wii anyway - Final Fantasy XIII becoming a Wii exclusive would barely change a thing. The PS3 still has FF Versus XIII and the 360 still has plenty of JRPGs. Sure, there would be another reason to hate the Wii, but in the grand scheme of things, it really wouldn't make a difference.

5 reasons why it shouldn't be a wii exclusive.

1. There is no precedent of a main series FF game ever doing well on the wii. - Face it. The wii has been around for years. Yet we've yet to see a main series FF game doing well on the system. it's obvious the gamers of the wii system preferes wii fit and super mario crossovers.

2. It would increase the pressure on Square Enix. - Look at it. It would take another few years for the game to come out and it would piss off everyone who's a current possible buyer of the game. not only that but despite the wiis dominence in total console sale, the comsumer base mostly consists of previous none gamers who are unlikely to buy final fantasy 13 hence limiting their possible sales even further.

3. The wii is doing fine as it is. - Sure it's consumer base is different then the other consoles, it's controllers piss me off a great deal and it wouldn't sell as many copies of a hardcore game as other systems, but that doesn't mean it's doing bad. Au Contrair.

4. The game is already dumbed down, if done further the game might turn into something else entirely. - Allow me to illustrate:

As you can see with my indisputable evidence. You wouldn't be able to recall what the wii version actually was supposed to be originally.

This would prove a major issue for people who want's to know exacly what's going on.

5. Gamers hate the wii already, what would further hate do - You wouldn't want the universe to implode now would you ?

:p

That would ruin the entire series...

Good point. Final Fantasy on Nintendo just doesn't feel right.

Nail on the head, kind sir.

NOW I HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER SHOT

God I am a lightweight you are going to kill me

Take a shot at Rol?

I can understand that. He is pretty good... He even turned around my own idea on me by pretending to miscommunicate, and then reiterating what I said. He got about 4 posts outta me for that, which I think is his real goal. But maybe I am overestimating his ability.

yeah miyamoto said that didn't he.

You have to read more carefully. I wrote "a respected developer" and the first thing you think of is the guy who gave us Wii Music.

That's not really fair. You're ignoring all the awesome games he's made, like Doshin the Giant. There's no need to cherrypick just because you're a Nintendo hater, Rol.

There's nothing wrong with hating on Nintendo. If it weren't for the Wii, we would be one step closer to games being recognized as art. Like for example GTA IV which had oscar worthy dialogue.

Are you kidding me? thats a joke, right?

Okay, these are 5 reasons I actually (as in this isn't a joke post) think a conversion to the Wii after release is likely.

1. Crystal Tools is on the Wii. Even if the engine isn't scalable like the Modern Warfare engine, it's still on the Wii, which is more than can be said for other HD engines.

2. If it fits on the 360's ROM size, it of course fits on the Wii. And no, blu-ray would not have increased the content, unless the game had a streaming world that dwarfs San Andreas.

3. Like many JRPGs, this doesn't look as though the control is going to use that many buttons.

4. Dragon Quest Swords sold over half a million, and that's a spinoff title. Unless coverting FF XIII to the Wii takes several million, even selling that many would turn a profit.

5. It gives them some extra revenue, and we know S-E isn't above milking their hit games. They finally started porting the PS1 FF games, so more is coming.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Check out IGN's GTA IV review and read the score table. I am not joking.

Well i was not refering to the job done by rockstar and Take Two, which i think is superb, not only in the script, but also in many many aspects.

I was refering to your comments about the wii. I dont want to say anything that sound offensive. I just saw the latest A BOY AND HIS BLOB Trailer, and  I gonna say I disagree with your statement that is the fault of the wii that the videogame industry is not recognized as "art". Whatever that means.
