Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Here is why PS3 games have higher accumulated review average than 360 games

Microsoft is committed to this "one Arcade game a week at least" mentality. You can't expect them ALL to be good. And if you are annoyed at the amount of shovelware, look at what Wii fans have to put up with. The higher the sales, the higher the quantity of shovelware. The PS2 had way more crap than either the Xbox or the GameCube, but it also had more awesome games, so it was forgiven

they get supposedly higher scores because there is more ps3 owners on the internet and they are more fanboyish so they give all ps3 games 11 out of 10 even if they suck and they give some like halo they best video game ever a 1 because they dont get it

Who gave Halo 3 a 1? No large reviewers gave it under a 9, as far as I can remember. Edge and EuroGamer were even optimistic enough to give it a 10. And lol at reviewers being PS3 biased. I would say IGN like the PS3 a bit too much for their own good, but they don't dislike the 360. It's just that their love of the PS3 causes them to hand out more 9+ scores than they really should (Resistance 2? Fat Princess?).

But there's no point debating with you, I see your sig.

Lately its been 2 arcade games per week. I mean, last week we had Defence grid (awesome) and Yo-yo-kablamo (terrible).

I am not a supporter for agregate reviews since I like the have as many games available to me as possible. Bad, good, average...all are welcome.

Oh theres a insanely glorfying feeling when you beat a crappy game.

Would I suggest buying a crappy game new at full price? Of course not. I usually buy them when they are real cheap say $5 or $6 aka just above rental price then prepare for one of the most hilarious experiences in your life followed by a giant celebration when you beat it.

God, we got four copies in at work. It's gonna suck when I have to ring up someone for the game and they don't realize what they are getting into at $50.

That's how I felt when I had to review Velvet Assassin for VGChartz - without the hilarious experience part -_-

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I never said the PS3 was better than the 360, I just implied that it has less shovelware. Also, that IGN list is generally accepted as a monumental fail.
