maybe people just make better games for the ps3.

I don't want to get in to the details on how it costs more money to make a PS3 game...and that generally it has lower game sales than 360 due to lower userbase (with exceptions ofcourse)...and that its much more complex to develo for PS3, which is something that devs of shitty games like this cant be bothered with.

So Ill just say...metacritic does not back your statement above.

Disolitude is a very level headed xbox fan =P he brings up a point which I thought everyone knew. With xbox having a larger library I would think it would be harder to get the median score high. Ps3 is hard to develop for and I think even Kaz said they did it on purpose to avoid shovelware (which I admit was Sony spin) but it's true to some degree. Less games overall get made for Ps3 but less bad games in general since they can't risk it.

Especially now that MS lifted the 720P AA rule and games can be SD. 2010 will be the year of lowest overall quality for the 360 for sure.

CAn you imagine a 480p game on the 360 and the thrashing it will get form reviewers

And we got lair...

Lair was bad until it gave the update to allow analog stick control. They gave a good shot at implementing six axis but they relied too heavily on it and how awkward it was. After analog support came out for that game it's not that bad.

Don't forget about Haze.

You also got a directors cut of Vampire Rain!

It's just that simple.

i think it's more important that a console has more good games than have less bad ones.

no kidding, PS2 had more bad games than the Gamecube had games.

Exactly. Getting lots of crappy shovelware is a much better sign of success for a console than some idiotic internet fanboys being able to say "my console has a 1/100 higher average game score than yours."

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

like ugh. whatever!
