WOW your right...Sony should make a Commercial and say something witty..like maybe "It only does everything" or something...
The value of a console is in it's games.
You can say whatever you like about the capacities of the console (which for non gaming purposes, it is true the PS3 has more to offer), but it just happens that many gamers prefer the games offered by the 360.
All this means that the home console of the most value for it's price is the Wii. (well PS2 or SNES if you go back in time)

I'm a 360 owner but I think Sony hads a good chance of ending second. Not that Microsoft has done bad by nay means, afterall they already sold far more units then the original xbox, nextgen they will be a household name just like the Playstation. But lastgen Sony sold what? 120 mil, 140 mil? Whatever it was, it is well past the 100 mil and the cube anx xbox also both got a high 20 mil. So there is a gamer market out their of ''cheap'' gamers who are still playing on lastgen consoles. Most of these gamers play on the PS2 because it was the big one last gen, eventually they will make their way to this gen and the PS3 is the most obvious choice for the action adn shooter fans among them. Mainstreamers that got it for the Eyetoy will go Wii-side but Sony can get a big share. I really think it will depend on the full body motion controllers of the HD-twins. We all laughed at them when they got announced but the mainstreams on the PS2 ave yet to make up their mind, and when they do it could change the gaming landscape compleetly.

LOL STILL SAYING THIS INFAMOUS ,KILLZONE 2,UNCHARTED 2, GT5, GOD OF WAR 3,METAL GEAR SOLID 4, LITTLE BIG PLANET AND THERE ARE MANY MORE.
MANY OF THESE GAMES HAVE BEEN RELEASED AND R MIND BLOWING THE PROBLEM IS THAT U HAVENT TRIED ANY OF THESE.FIRST TRY AND THEN GIVE YOUR OPINION

People need to take into account what both plateforms offer on the long run... even with additional costs...
It is better to say that the PS3 has a better initial value.

It can argued pretty easy. It always depends on concrete person. For example, I could say:
1) I´m not big fan of movies. Last year, I had seen about three movies on DVD. Buying Blu.Ray for three movies... I don´t think so. More, all movies weren´t "big", and there isn´t Blu-Ray version anyway. So, apart of games, no need for Blu-Ray for me.
2) I´m using wired connection for everything. PC, Xbox 360, and if I buy PS3 (which I surely do), it will not be different. So, no need fo wi-fi.
3) I was always be single-player, multi games aren´t my cup of tea. So, I have Silver Account, which is free.
4) I already have millons of rechargeable batteries for another electronic, that I can use in Xbox 360 controller. No need to buy something extra for this.
5) I have PC, lot of Browsers there.

Console is about gaming:
1. Blu-ray Player
2. Wireless Wi-Fi
3. Free Online -> yes but old school style system.
4. Rechargeable Controllers
5. Internet Browser
Still, I agree that the Elite is a bit overpriced.

Priceless and totally ridiculous...do you work for Best Buy or something with all the rechargeable batteries, and come on who in this day and age uses a wired connection for the internet unless you are worried about the effects of Wifi?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion of what is better, but over the whole, you are getting a whole lot more for $299 with the PS3 than the 360.
