And look, GGE, you're acting like a smug Sony hating fangirl. Not only are you trolling, but you definitely remind me oh, say, some other people who's names have started with G.

What's with people accusing other people of being Gballzack...?  Who cares if Gballzack is still here posting or not anyway.

Saying JRPG makes you sound like a god damn ignorant retard. There, I said it. Now maybe if you got off of your chatroom for 2 seconds you could actually buy one of these "JRPGs" and see that they're actually quite fun. I bet the only "JRPG" any of you have ever played is Final Fantasy, and that's far from one.

I hope that wasn't directed at me as well.  I've been doing the console RPG thing since the Dragon Warrior and Crystalis days.

11 reasons MGS4 will stay exclusive...

1). Jack and Hideo said it was an exclusive at E3. In front of many people and on stage, even. Jack later told us to our collective face. (Statements made by developers, is not up to them)

2). Kaz sent flowers for the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party. Sending flowers for events like this is a Japanese custom. Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto sent flowers, too. Kaz's were prettier, though. (Now I get it, exclusivities are bought with flowers...)

3). Sony sent Hideo a gaming cake and booze for the MG 20th Party. Gaming cake? Serious. (Means nothing)

4). Kojima Prods. have stated that MGS4 was being developed especially for PS3 hardware. (So, doesnt mean it can't be ported)

5). Sony is producing the Metal Gear Solid movie. (Maybe the first valid reason)

6). The Metal Gear 20th Anniversary cell phone is a Sony product. (Means nothing too)

7). At the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party, Phil Harrison appeared in a video letter. I didn't really hear it because I was too busy trying to talk to the Microsoft Japan honcho. (Beggin for the exclusive???)

8). Hideo told Luke it was for the PS3. No way he could lie to Luke. No way. (Once again, this don't close the door for a port)

9). Snake uses a SIXAXIS in MGS4. (Could be changed)

10). See numero uno.

11) (Maybe the only one "REAL REASON")

Speaking with Gamasutra, Dille was asked what the deal was with Konami casting some doubt on the title's exclusivity just before E3.

"There was something that came out prior to (the Sony E3 keynote) announcement. Our folks have talked to the Konami folks, and until the announcement was out from our side, I think they were being a little bit cagey. But the agreement calls for exclusivity, the announcement's been made, and now people know the real story."

The agreement calls for exclusivity. Doesn't get much more cast-iron than that. Unless you want to poke at the definition of the term exclusive, but just for today, let's not.

While many of the reasons individually mean nothing, when viewed collectively they create quite a telling picture of the relationship between Kojima Productions and Sony.

Also, you took those reasons far too seriously. The one with Luke? Obviously there for comic relief. You didn't need to debunk it. It seems as if you're just on an anti-Sony crusade today. :|

Overall, there are so many reasons why this game would not be ported, the most important being the obvious exclusivity conract between Sony and Konami, that I have a hard time believing any rumor from Famitsu.

Lol, no, Im not in the "anti-sony" mood today...

But, the only valid reason IMO is their agreetment, the other stuff is just part of the bussines "play", it means nothing (Just like all the crap toys that the devs send to the reviewers)...

I keep thinking the same, IF there is a port planned, it wont be anounced unti the release of the PS3 version...

Denial on both sides.

I don't mean to be one of those people who jumps onto random threads and points out what's going wrong without contributing something first, but that's just the person I am.

First off, FJ Warez. If you're going to debunk 10 or 11 different points, you could do better than a sentence or two. Oh look, I debunked several paragraphs with a couple sentences! I'm really proving a point here!

Second off, Capcom is not the same company as Konami. The game is being developed by Kojima Productions, and being published by Konami. Why would we need to go through this many stages of denial before it was announced for another system? Seriously, some random blog or magazine editor says it's on another system, you all believe him without question. Konami or Kojima himself say it's exclusive, and you all never shut the fuck up.

And look, GGE, you're acting like a smug Sony hating fangirl. Not only are you trolling, but you definitely remind me oh, say, some other people who's names have started with G.

I'd say there are only 2 or so people in this thread not acting like a moron, one of those being Naznatips. I salute you, my good sir.

Sorry, just needed to get this off my chest. Exclusivity arguments bring out the worst in all of us. Besides, Soriku's link leads to a missing topic in Gamefaqs, not that it matters, there's plenty of thread here as long as you can all troll and flame, am I right?

I'm going off to update games, I suggest you all do the same, or at least something more productive than this.

OH, AND WHEN YOU UPDATE GAMES, DO A GOOD JOB ON IT!!! I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO CLEAN UP AFTER MESSY JOBS!!!

2). Kaz sent flowers for the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party. Sending flowers for events like this is a Japanese custom. Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto sent flowers, too. Kaz's were prettier, though.

^Do you need more than one sentence do debunk this???

"The game is being developed by Kojima Productions, and being published by Konami."

You dont use more than one line to prove your point too...

1 point doesn't constitune being lazy. So what, a line about flowers being sent doesn't need to be debunked by more than a sentence. You're ignoring the other 9 points.

As for the second part, I guess you didn't notice the several  sentences after that one sentence. Anywho, I found a great assortment of box arts for the Game Gear, so it's time to start adding them!

Game Gay Power!

If there's a port planned, I'm thinking it won't be announced until at least 6 months after the ps3 version comes out.  They have to give it time to sell, maybe even waiting until after the '08 holiday season, when ps3 sales and thus sales of the game could pick up.

Also, if FFXIII is still planned for '08, they may wait until then, because the boost the ps3 will get from FF would most likely stimulate sales of MGS4 as well, resulting in (possibly) no need for a port, or at least higher sales of the ps3 version, if nothing else.

Konami's President has said MGS4 needs to be cross platform to earn their money back.

Square-Enix is developing FFXIII with a multiplatform engine.

It's not hard to see at all the evidence stacking up here. I just feel bad for people who sunk $600 bucks into the PS3 in hopes of being the only ones who could play these games.

What evidence?  I just see links to a forum and not to an article anywhere.   I have a PS3, and I have a 360 and will enjoy the best games as they come out for each system.

Anyone want to buy my Halo 3?  I haven't played it in over 2 weeks now.

The other Nine Points...

1). Jack and Hideo said it was an exclusive at E3. In front of many people and on stage, even. Jack later told us to our collective face.

(Not count, since you have already stablish the link behind Kojima/Konami/Sony)

2). Kaz sent flowers for the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party. Sending flowers for events like this is a Japanese custom. Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto sent flowers, too. Kaz's were prettier, though.

No need to be debunked...

3). Sony sent Hideo a gaming cake and booze for the MG 20th Party. Gaming cake? Serious.

No need to be debunked...

4). Kojima Prods. have stated that MGS4 was being developed especially for PS3 hardware.

OK, RE4 was especially development for the NGC, but the game was ported to he PS2 (Inferior Hardware Specs BTW), Devil May Cry wasn't posible in the 360, but now there is a port...

5). Sony is producing the Metal Gear Solid movie.

Maybe the first valid reason, no need to debunk

6). The Metal Gear 20th Anniversary cell phone is a Sony product.

Since when a CellPhone market product affects an exclusive title??? This is just one move to make money from the MGS name...

7). At the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary Party, Phil Harrison appeared in a video letter. I didn't really hear it because I was too busy trying to talk to the Microsoft Japan honcho.

No need to be debunked.

8). Hideo told Luke it was for the PS3. No way he could lie to Luke. No way.

This don't close the door for a port, but quoting MakingMusic "The one with Luke? Obviously there for comic relief." No need to be debunked...

9). Snake uses a SIXAXIS in MGS4.

OK, SS use a Sixaxis, there is no way the model of the control could be changed, making impossible to port the game to the 360 due to fees issues ¬¬

10). See numero uno.

11) (Maybe the only one "REAL REASON", so no need to be debunked)

Speaking with Gamasutra, Dille was asked what the deal was with Konami casting some doubt on the title's exclusivity just before E3.

The agreement calls for exclusivity. Doesn't get much more cast-iron than that. Unless you want to poke at the definition of the term exclusive, but just for today, let's not.

In the end there are just 3 points to be debunked, still none of the need more than one or two sentences to be debunked...

"As for the second part, I guess you didn't notice the several sentences after that one sentence"

Let me see:

Second off, Capcom is not the same company as Konami. The game is being developed by Kojima Productions, and being published by Konami. Why would we need to go through this many stages of denial before it was announced for another system? Seriously, some random blog or magazine editor says it's on another system, you all believe him without question. Konami or Kojima himself say it's exclusive, and you all never shut the fuck up.

The rest is probably your "inner anger" talking, you dont need to post all of it to make a point you know, and BTW there is no need to "shut us".

"Since you can´t understand ... there is no point to taking you seriously."

It will make me quite sad, but I would have to live with it.

Again this is what I want to see....Can't wait its getting closer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But take out the "Only for Xbox 360 logo" since the game will be 360 and PS3.
