great thread, reallly R&C:CIT hype seemd ZERO.....but this new video & customisable weapon, open world info has made it very highly anticipated

I'd love to get this game, but I haven't played tools of destruction...infact I refuse to buy it...they need to trophy patch the game, the game is built on rewards and collecting so implementing it would be fairly easy.

No patch on the 1st game, then I simply won't buy neither game, it's a hard decision to make since I bought nearly all the PS2 ratchet games, excluding the PSP ports...but at the end of the day, my money speaks more than my words ever would.

What you're saying is that you'd rather they wasted time putting trophies in a 2007 game than actually spent time developing NEW games? That is just ridiculous, and stubborn. Did you not buy any PS3 games before June 2008, when there were no trophies?

@ kantor, going back to old games is tricky without the scent of trophies dragging you forward, but ToD is definitely worth it, as soon as I finished the game, I completed challenger mode, though I only got my Ryno to level VIII, but that is enough to kill the final boss in under 1 minute

nope, I bought my PS3 in December of 2008, so all the games I got have trophies.

R&C: tools of destruction is great and, and deserves a trophy patch

Now I'm not saying that they should get the main teams to take time of the main games just to make a patch, but they do have a 3rd team that made the R&C PSN game...they could get these guys when their free to work on a patch.

Think about it, if tools of destruction was patched a month or two before the sequel comes out, then wouldn't you play it again for trophies as well as to refresh the story?

I know if they did it, not only would I buy the 2nd game but also the 1st game, I'm sure there are people like me, as well as new slim owners who would pick up both games.

I did exactly that with the PS2 versions back in the day...but now that trophies exist, I just can't pull my self to play the game more than once and that's if I even owned it, and like I said, tools of destruction already has unlockables buil in, as well as other things people do like leveling the ryno...drake was the same and that game was patched, so I don't see why tools of destruction can't.

I mean even grin patched bionic commando before they went down, all I'm saying is that Insomniac should show a little love to fans of their games who are fans of trophies as well.

I love me some Ratchet ever since my girlfriend turned me onto it last gen. I think ToD is my fav game this gen along with Uncharted. I had the most fun with those 2.
However my PS3 dying and hence forcing me to buy a new one is creating a great financial problem for me this year as I had intended to buy all major releases from October onwards including Fifa 10.
Whatever am I going to do
