I now hate David Jaffe and wish him to die after reading this. Mr. Jaffe got into an argument with a fan of his games becuase the customer didn't agree with disgital distarabution future and that he supports used games. GASP. How does he. The conversation makes me both sad and angry. I hate how the "Game Industry" hates used games because they beleive it hurts their profits (it doesn't as the customer proves it) and want them either gone or for them to get a profit. Look, we get credit back if we don't like the game. It's good for us consumers who buy your junk in the first place. Why do we need to suffer for you?

No offense, but I think you totally misunderstood his stance on the issue. The thread title is false/misleading as well. Read Jaffe's posts in the Neogaf topic to get more of an idea of what he's trying to say.

u hate used game sales? i hate paying 60 bucks for something that isn't tangible (technically the CD is but the game itself isn't)

playing games is a hobby, not a luxury.

The reason used games exist is because people tire of games, that shows a failure of the developer/publisher, if the games were such that people never got tired of them, they'd never be sold to places like gamestop, and as a result the publishers/devs deserve nothing of the used games sales, jaffe is a fool and proof that malstrom is right, that the "games industry" is diseased and dying. Also switching to all Digital will only drive consumers into the arms of companies that retain phsyical media as an option.

C'mon... $60? Noone pays less than you /USA/ for games [and fuel] and you still tend to whine about both. Seriously guys don't be so cheap. You are one of the richest countries after all. I pay twice as much for games and probably earn half of your incomes and I don't find $60 stuff expensive.

Forget that America has a trillion dollar debt. but I agree they do pay less for everything. Us Canadians have it bad. $70 for a single game and our dollar is almost on par with teh USD.

OP: Try to understand and comprehend what Jaffe is trying to say

i've always wondered why people praise jaffe as a developer. His games are garbage and unispired.
