Forums - Sales Discussion - Batman: AA vs Assassin's Creed II, which one will win in sale.

In one corner you have Assassin's Creed 2, sequel to the 8 million selling franchise. Reviews were mixed for the first game because of the repetitive nature of the gameplay. But it was something new at the time and fans bought it like hot cakes. The sequel promises more of the same but bigger in everyway with a new hero.

In the other corner, you have Batman Arkham Asylum. The critics are loving it and calling it the best comic book game of all time and a game of the year contender. It has an avg scores of 90 plus on Metacritic. Oh, it is also a game with one of the best known superhero and villian in the history of comic.

So, which game will win in lifetime sale? I am a huge batman fan but even with all the accolades and fans that batman has, I still think Assassin's Creed is going to win due to there are tons of anticipation from gamers and fans owning and liking the first game.

What do you think.

assassin's creed 2. Even with the setbacks, the first one sold 7m combined. I would guess that the addressed issues would push sales even higher

AC II by a large margin. I am guessing only about 3m on Batman AA, but AC II is going to be huge

Definitly Assasins 2.

AC 2 hands down

This thread doesn't even warrant discussion. Batman will not come close to the original Creed's total, let alone the sequel. Sequels to successful and well-liked games always sell well. There's no chance Batman sells more unless AC2 is totally broken when it's released.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?
