Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft - 360 failures well behind them.

50% failure rate = MS treats their customers like shit.

So why be a willing customer?

It's called games.  Ever heard of them?  MS screwed up and did what they could to fix it.  How many companies would be willing to shell out billions to fix their mistakes?

wats PROD

by DaSimkin theory..

My console breaks,so i call MS and they fix it for free of no charge, but somehow i get treated like shit.

Ok.

My console  breaks so i call Sony and they charge me 200$ to fix it,so??? Sony is the most awful customer help right? By your stands then its true.

I wonder what is the official name for the RoD in the repairs line.

To whoever cries fanboys sabotaged the survey..

Dosent it say 5000 magazine subscribers? I doubt people would go to such lenghts to sabotage a survey like that. Out of 5000 subscribers, 2500 had issues, say that there were a masive conspiracy and an astonishing 800 of those were just out to sabotage MS, it would still end up at ~ 30%, rounding down.

And i HIGHLY doubt that soo many subscribers to a magazine would have the energy to go out and sabotage the numbers like that. And like i said, even if that were the case.. the numbers are still crazy high.

Until we hear reports and see otherwise i say no we can't.  They are still having issues and at a high percentage-but then again what is Aaron suppose to say during the interview that "yes we are still making inferior products" of course not.  he'd get fired.  Th Rrod problem will stick until we hear and see better results.

Its still unacceptable that Microsoft can come out with a product that failed at the rate that it did. The worse thing about it is Microsoft won't learn a thing from this, as they got rewarded by getting a big lead on Sony which resulted in games from Square-Enix, Capcom, and other game publishers that would have been ps3 exclusives coming to the 360. (Yes I know Sony had a lot to do with their demise as well with the high price and hard to work for system) If any company that did not have hundreds of billions of dollars in the bank came out with a product or service that failed at over a 50% clip, they would be out of business in no time!  When my NES from 20 years ago still works yet my roomates has gone through 2 360's in a few years that is not acceptable.  It is nice that Microsoft owned up and fixed these but it is still an inconvienience!

What's unacceptable is people still bringing up launch 360 failure rates...

You can't just forgive a company so easily!  It's unacceptable to be blind to the fact that no company should put out a product a service until they have fully tested it, and it is ready for the consumer.  If I started a buisness where I fix your roof and a the end of fixing it I kick you in the balls...is it acceptable if I say I'm sorry my service was not fully tested future roof fixings will not come with a kick in the balls!

Well some people got kicked in the balls more than once. but at least the guy will come back in 3 weeks to hold ice on it for you for free.

haha.. though some people enjoy ball busting. Dont knock it until you try it.

He continued, "So I think we've made it clear we stand by the quality of our product and we will make it right by fixing the problem at no extra cost to you. But at the same time, we've been working hard to make improvements in the products we're currently making, so I really feel like most of this is well behind us." Greenberg then repeated the fact that three-year red-ring/E74 error warranty is in effect for all 360s already on the market--and will extend in the future to those currently being made.

Can you still mention "quality" when you're facing unofficial reports of 30-50% failure rates?
