Forums - Sony Discussion - Whats that a PSP-4000?

Well has another of Sony's umm so called "secrets" got out.

From article:

But now, according to a particularly reliable tipster (who accurately predicted the PS3 Slim in June, right down to the inclusion of proper buttons), there's a PSP-4000 inbound that will still sport a UMD drive. According to the tip this new machine will live along-side the Go, but little is known beyond that...

I think this guy/gal also predicted the Pro being phased out in place for the Elite. He/She knows their stuff.

Poor Sony.. None of their announcements are surprises anymore. I guess this is good news though, it gives the consumer options.

I hope they make the screen bigger

I had enough from those who want to reveal sony's secrets.

and I had enough from those who think about a new version of PSP.

Is this the same sony that can't afford anything, no wonder they have been losing all that money in their financial reports, all that R&D for PSPGo, ps3 slim, motion controllers and psp-4000 (if true).

I Hope things will change and they will start making profit when all this comes out.

Well, Sony needs a UMD drive or phys media based PSP along w/ the download one, so this will just be the next version of the phys media type obviously.

I also think that Sony is going to want to put in a OLED screen to save space and so forth, eventually OLED TVs should be cheaper than their LCD counterparts and are already in several phones.

Keeping a secret in the information age is getting harder and harder. There are more leaks on the net and in companies than a bucket that just got shot up with 10 clips of M4 ammo.

Sony needs to rehaul their secret keeping techniques. Even if this turns out to not be true, there's plenty of prior instances where things have been leaked. Having a product leaked well in advance sucks all the excitement out of it.

Nintendo doesn't seem to have a problem with it, Microsoft doesn't really either.

Sony is subpar at keeping secrets well...secret.
