In the rest of the world excluding US, the PS3 will definitely outsell the XBox360 from now until Christmas because the sales are so close already in those areas.

I'm not quite sure that in America that it's a done deal that PS3 will outsell the XBox360.  The general public are completely unaware of PS3 slim.  The general public are still gonna be swayed by the new Halo ODST coming out with the reduced price on the Xbox360 Elite. 

I'm a very pro-PS3 person.  Talking to most people (non video game fanatics), most still see the Xbox as the better choice and the general public still go with the herd.

The next couple of months I believe you are right.

But as we get to closer to the hols I don't think the PS3 outselling the 360 in the rest of the world is a given. Probably fluctuating between the two.
I think it's probably the same for the US.

Here is how its going to go down...
From the day the Slim drops and on, as long as there is adequate advertising, it will outsell the 360 worldwide in every territory.
In all honesty wether you want to admit it or not, there is no real reason why I shouldn't, with the exclusion of the week that Halo ODST drops, but even that may not help the 360...
All in all we will see in time, but the most likely and rational scenario is that the PS3 will steadily outsell the 360 by a fair margin from this point on, at lest until Natal launches, but the success of Natal is yet to really be seen.

PS3 will not outsell the 360 immediately..SONY is gonna have to do ALOT of heavy advertising for the Console, Games and PSN..its on the right track to outsell 360, but a price cut and new model alone wont be enough

I'd say PS3 will outsell the X360 by 300,000 Sept-Dec in the US.   

In france, everyone talking about the ps3 slim, I think that will very difficult for x360 in this area now... even with an incredible bundle and a better price... people in my store say: wow, ps3 for 299 euros!! it's a good deal!! I sold my stock of "fat" ps3 saturday (about 12 sytems), in one day! we can think it's the same in the others europe countries (spain, france, deutchland, portugal, italie....but not UK). But in the usa, ps3 will have a better situation, but I think 360 outsold ps3 for chrismas 09. Ps3 in usa look like "doomed" console  now... that will very hard for sony in usa....
