2) When compared to the sales of it's prequal, Resistance 2 did quite well. I also noticed quite few people on this site were getting more excited over KZ2 than R2 before both games released. After R2 released quite a few people spoke displeasure with the game. I noticed most of these people actually PLAYED THE GAME and alot of them saying that the original was just better. So what makes you say people were putting it down for sales? I'm sure some were but not the majority. 

3) SONY wanted KZ2 to attract the 360 audience??? NO SHIT. KZ1 was to attract the HALO crowd, no suprise that the sequal would be another attempt. Doesn't SONY want more customers? Wouldn't they be happy if they could lower the other systems attatch ratio by getting fans of the other system to warm up to the PS3?

4) This site is centered around sales, yes. But not every thread is about sales. That's why there's a sales discussion...

If I make a thread in the SONY forums that's mainly about features in Game A while not mentioning anything about another game, you think I want posters posting about Game B and how my game A will never amount to it's sales so there's no reason why I should be posting about it?

I say it's hyped because there's finally a decent (non-strategy) RPG. Still not turn-based, but gameplay looks promising. Deluxe has been preordered!

I think this thread proves the main thing I dislike about VGchartz, it's a little too focus on the munniez side of things so much so in fact that when anyone hypes up anything, it's usually assumed they mean it'll sell 10mil in 10secs and not because they think it might be a good game...

Though with that said, this game (Demon Soul) is dead to me, because as far as everyone is concerned, the EU does not exist ¬_¬ I could import but fuck that hard with a giant dildo, I refuse to import on principal now, why pay over the odds even more than I have to?

Sales figures are the draw for here, so everything tends to get drawn to sales on here, and everything run through that.  It goes with the territory.  And, sorry about no Demon's Soul in Europe.

I know Richard but it seems to me sometimes folks forget the most important stuff, the games themselves, I'm pretty sure everyone here didn't get here because they started with an interest in the money aspect of things, but rather the games. It often saddens me when talks of "game X is/was good" is countered with "It didn't even sell xK, therefore it must be crap." instead of yes it was good or no it wasn't because gameplay etc was crap.

Not so long ago I use to frown upon people who dismissed games because of poor graphics not taking time to look at gameplay but now I wish they would return because at least they were criticising the game itself rather than something beyond the game's own control.

Respecting game forums for being more than just sales rant areas, would be helpful, along with myself having people go on the record for such, rather than stating the record, would help.  Anyhow, I hope if Demon's Souls is all that (and a bag of chips) people do keep talking it up.

Well, that's a very petty reason to ignore a game as good as Demon's Souls. Importing the regular north american edition would cost you 43.50 GBP including shipping.
