R&C = Retarted and Crappy when compared to Mario. Mario's numbers will destroy this game. Sorry to be blunt, but this topic needed this.

OT: Nuh ... R&C is a solid series, but never a massive seller in the vein of Mario. Mario will outsell R&C in Japan alone vs R&C WW probably.

Two different games that appealing two different markets on two different consoles.

You know the game in my opinion stealing most of the thunder from Mario Galaxy? Smash Bros. I keep thinking of them both for year end(I know that's changed now) but I'm more excited about smash Bros. now with that being for next year, I'm focused on enjoying Mario Galaxy.

If Mario Galaxy doesn't outsell Ratchet atleast 7-1 this year, I will declare Leo-J or whatever Sony fan King of Vgchartz.

Oh settle down people. There was nothing wrong with Legend's thread. R&C is looking really solid. I might even go so far as to say that despite the significantly smaller userbase, I predict that it will sell as well if not better than previous games in the series.

And it very well might "steal some of Mario's thunder" as it will be a beatiful looking game and the Ps3's premier platformer. But stealing some thunder doesn't kill the storm. And Mario Galaxy is a category 8 Hurricane right now. Of course it will sell a hell of a lot more and be the more talked about, loved and influential title. Doesn't mean we all need to bash R&C though.

Sales wise, I hope R&C surprises us, but even if it does, it won't make Mario numbers. But at least they're both awesome games, and when it comes out PS3 owners will have a platformer on par with Galaxy. I'll have to play Galaxy just to make sure, but R&C has REALLY smooth controls, the four weapons I've seen are good, and are still only at Lvl 1, (anybody who ever saw the final upgraded version of the weapon you start with in R&C3 knows what I'm talking about) and the graphics are a HUGE leap over the previous games. It looks like you're playing the previous games' cutscenes.

I'll be getting them both eventually, of course, but I love R&C, and I've been looking forward to playing it on the PS3 for long time.

On a side note, Nintendo should REALLY consider trying to get some form of demo available to Wii owners, I bet that would bring in an ASSLOAD of sales. Personally I think the best thing any developer (of a good game) can do is release a good demo, and on PSN and Live you can just play it right there. They could just put it on VC for free.
