Same for me... the noise ruined everything (now you can install the game on the HDD so it is getting better).

I don't have any games installed to my HDD as I only have a 20gb, no room left as it is, on my last 180mb now,

What year was your 360 bought Sardauk?

First year, April 2006.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

The only complaint you left out is the overpriced hard drives.

I got my 120 gb for 80 Euros (delivery included). Is it too much ?

I live in America and it's almost $200 for a 120GB hard drive. I don't know what that translates to in Euros, but here that's too much. A 60GB is $100. I'm thinking about buying a computer internal hard drive and hacking it to work on my 360.

nice read. thanks for the info.

funny to see so many people finding reasonable the OP... I too think it is fair.

However, the things he dislikes are more of a DEAL BREAKER. I mean, look at the "pros", I can certainly live without many of those things like "1080p showing on my screen, even if I know it's upscaled" or "fast downloads", etc, etc. but now look at the "cons" RROD? Hard Drive serious limitations (especially after he includes the downloading of stuff to a HDD as a "pro"), No WiFi (after he list connectivity as a pro), and paying $50 every year for online gaming? Now all that certainly outweighs the things he likes by a mile. Add the "noise" which everybody here seems to agree with, and I can't see how someone would be motivated by that deal...

Actually, I consider myself a rather serious gamer and I only have a 20gb hard drive, no wifi, and spend more on coffee each month than Live.  No, those things are certainly no deal breaker.

^This,

I have a 20gb hard drive which has served me well (for 3 years) up until about a month ago as it is now totally full (dlc which i can't do without really) so do need a 120gb, I have found a few for around £55 brand new which is a superb price in my view,

The other costs are simply NOT needed, wi-fi for gaming? no thanks, I use ethernet on my pc, ps3 and 360, i simply will NOT use wi-fi connections for gaming as it causes all sorts of problems, I only use wi-fi on the laptop & wii and that's only because we have too.

I also get 12 months xbox live for around £34, that is £2.84p a month, what else could you buy for £2.84? not even 10 cigerettes in the uk! not even a pint, not even a gallon of fuel. I find xbox live to be amazingly good value for what we get, I love it and will always be more than happy to pay for a superb service.

And to the people invading this thread yapping on about RROD/E74 errors again, give it a rest already, that is old news, 360 owners get full piece of mind for three years, no repair costs, free shipping, free xbox live for 1-3 months and a free game if your system breaks, that is more than fair in my books and I haven't even had a 360 break on my yet!

It sounds like the early 360's were VERY noisy then?

I can honestly say I have never had any problems regarding noise with my 360's but again they are a Falcon unit (2008) and a Jasper unit (2009),

How I got my Xbox360:

I wanted a Xbox360 when it came out but it was rough times, didn't have the money to buy an Xbox 360, but at the same time it was still hard to find a 360. I'm sitting at homw one night in the garage on the PC. I leave the gargae open when i'm in it to keep it cool (Florida heat). I have my headset on in the middle of a podcast with some friends and we just so happen to be talking about how I'm the only one in the podcast with out an Xbox 360.

As i'm talking I see a shadow come from behind, thinking it's my wife not thinking to much into it, $1,200 gets dropped down on my keybaord in front of me... I'm in shock, loss for words, I keep hearing, hello, hello, SEGA you there? from the podcasters.. I look over and my dad has a big smile on his fae, "I went to the Casino, heres have some fun"... Podcasters are still asking, you there? I tell them.. I have to go... I drive to Gamstop and ask if they have any  360's, the guy says no sorry, I said ok, and as I'm walking out the manager walks into the back and comes out with a 360, here I was holding it for someone but it's been over a day. So I buy it and Blazing Angels.. Love That Game!

Such a touching story of the first time you two meet. Its like you were went to be with each other...

That is possible indeed.

Now it is acceptable.

Pretty fair and I pretty much agree with you on everything.

The noise... is something that's getting better. Original units were unbearable (trust me on that, owned originals for three and a half years) while new jaspers while still loud are way more bearable.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).
