Forums - Microsoft Discussion - How many ppl r trading their 360 for a ps3 slim or buyin it ?

I've seen alot of people on different gaming sites asking if they should use the gamestop offer to trade their 360 for a ps3 slim. I think alot of people are tired of the low quality, jumbo jet sounding xbox 360.

Oh wait, I know....Ability to use Bluetooth devices such as keyboards and headsets. A built in Wifi link so you dont need your modem/router near your PS3, upgardeable storage with no limits and a much easier media server setup. Those and BD with HD audio

Much easier media server setup? If you can't set up media streaming to your 360 you should stop using computers. It's not exactly rocket science. If you running a media server what does upgradeable storage have to do with it, when your streaming?

The PS3 can be a media server and an extender (client/receiver).

The 360 can only be an extender afaik, not a server

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

I'll trade my if I get to keep my 360, and somebody give me $300...

Nope, not happening with me or all my friends. In fact, only one plans to replace his console, and that's a PS3 owner who's gonna replace it with a 360.

Not true--to be a true media center extender, it has to actually run Windows Media Center.

You can trade in your defective 360s at Game Crazy, GameStop, and other video game retailers to get credit towards the slim.

PSN has the best matchmaking system?  No. I tend to agree on that, but I don't 50$/year agree. It's still pretty easy to meet friends in games.

PSN has a universal rating, reporting, muting, avoiding system?  No.

PSN has the largest on demand library?  No. Largest never meant best. And I'm not even sure it really has the largest. Yes it is the largest.

PSN has the best arcade game selection with indie games?  No. Matter of opinion, and I strongly disagree.

PSN has patches, demos, and DLC coming earlier than other consoles?  No. Yes, it's so cool that Batman's demo is available on the (free)PSN but only available to GOLD Live members yet. Oh, and since you don't seem to have tried it, we have patches, demos and DLC.  I had PSN for over a year.  I said they come earlier to XBL almost always, which is true.  I didn't say PSN didn't get them.

PSN has reliable CoD online play?  No. I never tried CoD, but of all the matches I played online, I never had problems (Resistance, LBP, Burnout, Killzone 2, warhawk, etc...) That's why I said multiplatform games like CoD!  First party games have servers, multiplat games don't, but with XBL they run great online, and PSN they don't.

PSN has more gamers active in popular games?  No. What's important? to have more? or to have enough? That's what I am saying, sometimes PSN doesn't have enough in certain games.

Sure you can do Netflix via PlayOn, but the average Joe really won't care to mess with that, plus it requires you to have a networked PC.  Cross game voice chat has not been confirmed yet.

Netflix is only available in the US. Hardly a good point for me. Or maybe we could talk about Vidzone? PlayTV? Or Sky and Zune marketplace which will be coming to Europe and like 18 different countries, bringing 1080p instant streaming, etc.

Why is VGChartz like talking with middle schoolers (not so much, you, Bokal, but definitely Xoj)?

why can't netflix be in canada/?? i have a Samsung BDP1600 which is a blu ray player and is netflix/pandora ready device but the services are only available in the us.

I doubt many if any will do this.  You need to own both the 360 and the PS3 this generation.  If you don't, you aren't playing all of the greatest games available to you.

Owning all three platforms. I haven't bought a game for my PS3 since Resistance. My 360 and my Wii both have over ten games but my PS3 has one. I've rented tons of games for the PS3 but none ever seemed worth a purchase. Now that my 360 RROD I've been renting games for my PS3 and the only ones I value worth purchasing are also availible for my 360.

You need to own a 360/Wii this generation , if you don't your not playing all the greatest games availible to you!

Pah speak for yourself.

This gen a PS3/Wii should do the trick.

I dont like Gears, HALO, Mass Effect. So you know. Oh i like Fable 2 thought that game is worth a 2nd hand arcade. That being said Splinter Cell looks like it will be a good game but i will just buy it for my PC anyway.

And i prefer Grant Turismo 5 to Forza 3. Just the fact that you are limited to 8 racers put me of the game

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

And with all that stuff x360 can do I always wonder why consumers still prefer the wii or it hasn't sold more. Casuals? But that's nothing to do with this topic.

I disagree about the middle schoolers bit. The more I read the famous "everyone I know is .. blah blah" line it reminds of kindergarden.

I only know half of a person so maybe I am jealous that I can't use that line.

OT: No, because I can't.
