dont get your hopes up guys.... that would put it VERY close to the wii..

And what ? it should surpass it if pushed hard nuf.  With $50 price dif dont be surprised when PS3 out slaes the wii.  It ill likely do that during the holidays if GT5 if released.

The predictions people have are just ridiculous. The PS3 is not going to be in touching distance of the Wii in September let alone after that. It will start outpacing 360 WW from now on in but that is it. That is not much to brag about considering 360 numbers and to say the least nothing special.

This. Seriously Ninty has a good line up for the wii this holiday season and more importantly Metroid Prime Trilogy will be releasing so that should push some hardware and also if the PS3 sold like 200K that would be very close to the wii. I don't think thats going to happen. In september I expect 170k first week 163k second and then it will be at 145-150k average weekly considering the 360 is at about 120k to 130k...

The Slims are being launched over a span of two weeks or so. That means there won't be one huge week one number. The US, for example, is getting the Slim on August the 25th, but the UK on Sept. the 1st.
