Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk FULL TGS 2007 Trailer, Good Quality

Yuck. I really don't like the graphical style of this game.

Around the Network

Remember when people complained a couple of months ago about those ugly-looking screenshots that were supposedly from the Wii Tales game? Hopefully this trailer will set their minds at ease, because holy shit, that game looks amazing. It looks like they've improved the poly count and textures quite a bit - understandable, since ToS was an early Gamecube game, and probably didn't utilize everything the system had to offer. From what the trailer shows of the character animations, it looks like they've made them more fluid, too, which is an improvement over the stilted-looking animations in ToS.

I just hope they improve the quality of the story a bit. Namco-Bandai have shown in Tales of the Abyss that they can inject an entertaining, quality story into their Tales games; they just need to put a little effort into it.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Baiting is impolite.

I really don't like the graphical style of your FACE.  See Avatar. :b

If I hear about GC vs Wii graphics anymore, I think I will pull my hair out. Or become disenchanted with this site.

For me this is the RPG of the year. I do not care that much about looks, but Tales of Phantasia was the best looking Snes games. They could at least make it look like something impossible on GC. It is much better than the average Wii games we got till now, even so I would like sexier graphics.

@HappySqurriel,
ToS sold over a million on GC alone, so definitely not bad.

Game looks amazing. Easily my most wanted game (well with Fire Emblem X).
If they make the story as compelling as the first one that will be another 70 hours well spent.

I'm sold. Big fan of the Tales of series.

ToS came out in the summer of 04 did it not? So pretty much hald way through the GCs life cycle. Not too early. Plus, ToS looked great on the GC. If they can up the looks just a notch I would be pleasantly surprised.

Just kiss the tip.

^That's madness, why would you beat it 18 times.
You keep your levels I pressume? And what level is the dark sword when you beat the game that much.
Are there alternating ends and stuff like that?

And where in *%#%&(*name do you find the time to beat it 18 times.
