Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

what do you feel about danielson going to WWE?

Well, I'm not against it but it's hard to have high hopes. He's an amazing grappler who can also fly around the ring, but I don't think he can work the mic. In the indies you can get by with ring talent but it's much harder to get over with the mainstream audience when you can't talk. His size doesn't help things either. You think of guys under 6 ft and 200 lbs and you've got rey rey (who is the only luchadore to not only make it to the wwe but have lasting power as well) and evan "hornswaggle homie" bourne. They may find lightning in the bottle like with RVD and jeff hardy, guys who got over primarily by being exciting in the ring, but it's hard not to see him as just another brian kendrick. Talented, but not within the WWE mold.

After an apparent stop at developmental, I'd say either smackdown or ECW. But then again, I worry for the career of most everyone that goes to RAW.

Breaking news folks: Rey Mysterio is suspended for 30 days for a violation of the Wellness program.

I went to the TNA show this past weekend; it was pretty good. There was a lot of interaction between the wrestlers and the fans. Beer Money vs. Booker & Scott was a blast. Booker T and Scott Steiner would get in the fans' face when we told them off. In another match, Kip James recognized us doing the DX sign, and he even did the 'suck it' sign at the end. He put on a good match. At the end of the show, a lot of wrestlers came to ringside and signed autographs and took pictures. Beer Money were charging like $20 or something. Not sure who else was charging. I manage to get Homicide's autograph.

Speaking of TNA, it kind of boggles my mind that Daniels didn't get pushed to the main event picture. He had a great comeback and defeated Kurt Angle. Now, he's back in the X-Division. Oh well, at least he's going to face Samoa Joe which will most likely be a great match.

It really is troubling to see what so many of these guys wind up going through just to get to the next night of wrestling over their careers. I just can't belive how many of the guys I watched in the 80's and 90's that have died of unnatural causes.

I agree it was really depressing to watch the "best of Starrcade" DVD because Curt Hennig, Hawk, Guerrero, Benoit, etc....all dead

And that's not even close to all of them. If I don't hear about some of these guys, sometimes I wonder if they kicked it, and I just missed it on the news cycle. Jake "The Snake" Roberts immediately comes to mind with his past cocaine issues.

I figured Rey Mysterio knew better. He already lost Eddie Guerrero to drug use

TNA has awesome fan interaction, when we went to Lockdown 2007, we met and shook hands with Dixie Carter of all people as she walked through the audience....little touches like that are why I am a fan.

Yeah, that's another big reason the only wrestling i like now is videogame wrestling... even if they got back to the glory days i'm not sure i could do it.

It's kinda like MMA.  It's cool, i like reading about it and the breakdowns.  I'd never actually watch it.

Basically I've been doing the same thing - for the past seven or so years I've just been reading a couple spoilers a month to check up what's happening. I think in that time I've watched a total of three or four shows.

And I don't even buy the games anymore.
