NXT has replaced the WWE "main roster" shows for me.  Some of the greener talent aside, NXT puts on better events by a mile.  They have some of the best wrestlers in the world and THOSE are the guys they showcase.  

Here are the NXT special events in order:

2 NXT Takeover

3 NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way

4 NXT Takeover: R Evolution

5 NXT Takeover IV  (February 11, 2015)

Arrival is good but Takeover is when things start to take off.  Anything with Sami Zayn is golden, as is pretty much anything with Charlotte or Sasha Banks.

Man, the ending to that match was unreal.

Cesaro is an absolute beast.  I wish he was in NXT.  A Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens feud would be awesome.

If the WWE misses with Sami Zayn when he gets called up then the entire creative team should be replaced.  The guy is a star waiting to happen.

I agree that the WWE has fantastic roster, the best its been in years.  They're just never used in storylines.  Most wrestlers, come out, don't even cut a promo, and have a match.  How are we supposed to get behind talent like that?  The majority of the roster is stuck in the mid-card because of this.  I stick by my guns with Orton, he's a great heel, but a terrible face.  If he couldn't deliver in the ring, it'd be just as bad as Reigns winning.  The ICW fans aren't the problem with Reigns either.  The fans, for the most part, know he's currently talentless.  All his Vince McMahon promos have been the cause of all of this.  When you shove someone down your face so much, fans aren't gonna stick, like Cena.  Cena's just managed to survive cause, even being shoved in our faces, he's talented.  

I don't think the Rumble has been about elevating stars.  I mean, the majority of the Rumbles from the 90s and 2000s have been won by major stars.  Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Austin, Cena, HHH, etc(I actually remember one year we were cheering for HHH to win cause he was the lesser of the evils[vs Cena]).  It has been used to elevate stars(Benoit), but very rarely.  I'd actually rather they give the win to Ziggler to say the truth.  But there's so much stupid politics in the WWE, it's really hurting their product.  Like you mentioned Show and Kane destroying the roster.

Santino was a bit sad because he's legitimately injured, possibly permanently.  

I was hyped for the match cause I knew it was coming, but alas, I didn't tune into NXT that week.  And just think, if they were given a proper half hour.  What they could have done.  I mean, the psychology was there.  I actually liked how Zayn tapped out to the choke hold.  He sold the move well.  So when Cesaro put it on again, it made sense, it also made the counter even better.  Though I'll say, selling moves is severely lacking in the main roster.  It's part of the reason that match was so good.

I remember I was watching a recent ppv at my friend's house.  I said "You're safe on NXT, second you go to Raw, they're gonna destroy your character.  Look at Paige, she went from being the anti-diva to being AJ's 'bestie'".  My friend was like "Oh yeah!  I remember that."  So sad.
