Trying telling my customers who have been trying to get a wii for months its not supply constrained, they'll probably laugh and ask you to try to find one.

I think next week's hardware sales for the Wii in Japan are going to be back at insane levels. Why? Because of their fall conference.

The announcement of Monster Hunter coming to Wii exclusively coupled with the details on WiiWare (Japanese LOVE downloading games) will drive up sales again. Downloadable Final Fantasy and Pokemon = WIN.

 Yeah, to this day, a friend of mine still cannot find a Wii anywhere in the city.  Supply constrained in America does not mean that the Wii is constantly sold out everywhere all the time.  But there are certainly areas in the US that have supply problems.

 The game comparison is a complete joke.  For one thing, as has been pointed out, Guitar Hero III is also hitting the Wii.  But there are also many great games other than Galaxy coming out, even without Brawl.

Even though you might not find all these games appealing -- they're not all must-buys for me either -- they will all probably do as well as the games you name. 

Anyway, the Halo boost will fade soon and then we'll be laughing at this thread.  

I wouldn't have said this even a couple days ago, but 360 will retake the lead (temporarily) and outsell every other console between now and Feb. 28.

I work at Costco (5th largest retailer in America?) and we have only had the Wii stocked a dozen different times (usually for a few days at a time). I guess we could have sold 5-10 times that much. Even now, we only had the Wii in stock once last month and once this month. For the majority of time the Xbox 360 and PS3 have been around, we have had them. Costco is just one of the many stores that will not be able to have a steady supply of Wiis until next year at the earliest. Same thing for many online stores like Amazon. I have checked dozens of times and never seen the Wii for sale on Amazon (I know they sell it, they are just almost always sold out).

The Wii has a better version of GHIII and don't expect much for VF5. That game has never been popular in America or even good, except in the arcade. Hell, Link’s Crossbow Training, Manhunt 2, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympics may all kill it in sales. I don't think the Japanese sales are gonna be good for half of the games listed, either.

To answer the question, the 360 will never reach Wii levels.

the wii will pick back up very soon cause of xmas in the states and europe and that will be all she wrote my friends. and wait till the japanese gamers out there get their hands on SMG can we say massive pwnage? yeah halo3 did help sales of the 360 but it is only very very short term. plus people have to replace their broken 360's to play halo3 so alot of these sales are peoplee replacing their units cause of the hardware failures.

It's actually possibly since Nintendo's biggest game (sorry Mario galaxy fans) just got moved to next year and they might not be able to make enough units. But They still have Mario Galaxy which is pretty much the biggest game of this year. Plus a low price so not likely.
