Namco Bandai Partners With Ninja Theory and Game Republic
The Heavenly Sword sword developer and the Genji developer sign on with Namco for multiple projects.
By Sam Kennedy, 08/19/2009
At its Gamescom 2009 press conference just now, Namco Bandai announced that it has added two new developers to its partner roster: Ninja Theory and Game Republic.

Ninja Theory is most known for having developed the PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword. Unfortunately, no info was given on the title it is working on for Namco Bandai other than that it is a game for both the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Namco Bandai's partnership with Game Republic seems to be even deeper -- two games were announced and it was said that more between the two would be coming in the future. Game Republic president Yoshiki Okamoto was on hand to discuss the first two games from the partnership. The first title is an action game (no surprise there) based on the Clash of the Titans movie that's coming from Warner Bros. next year and the second is an action/adventure game called Majin.

Majin definitely looked neat -- you control two characters, one a small and agile boy and the other a giant, slow monster (it's actually kind of reminiscent of The Last Guardian in some respects). Both titles seem to be headed to both the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be releasing in Spring of 2010.

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Genji: Days of Blade from game Republic was average but it was still fun. Their title Folklore is much more brilliant in both story and gameplay so I look forward to what they have coming up next. Whatever their title is that mixed in with the Clash of the Titans will be something to watch also!

As for Ninja Theory their title Heavenly Sword has some of the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen along with amazing cinematic pieces. It was a fun action title right to the very end! Those of us that remember Kung Fu Chaos on Xbox this was also made by Ninja Theory.

Overall I cannot wait for what Ninja Theory or Game Republic have in store for Xbox 360/PS3 owners next year!

Microsoft forum?

Yeah because Namco bandai announced that the titles are coming to Xbox 360. :) I can't wait! I look forward to seeing what 2 of my favorite developers (that have yet to make an Xbox 360) will do with the Xbox 360 architecture.

Folklore was truly a wonderful game from game Republic.

And i heard HS was awesome but short.

And we know how good Namco is.

Sound like something neat is in store for the HD twins.

But yes... why is the Dual HD news in the microsoft forum, it might spark something from the fanboys.

The sony ones are rather on fire lately...

For those like myself that rarely look in Gaming Discussion of course! :) This way Xbox 360 owners can also discuss titles coming on Xbox 360 in peace without the fanboy nonsense that can ensue in the Gaming Discussion threads. Why I prefer going in the Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft Discussion Threads more.

Oh dear, so thats why you did that? Well sad to say man it works the other way around, they come in spades if its about a console they DO NOT OWN, even more so lately if some of you get my drift... Still i understand where your getting at, and yes they should be happy and tweaking for this because the action in folklore was epic and the action in HS was again epic!

No offense to the OP but it's kinda misleading when you put it in MS forum. I really thought Namco Bandai, ninja theory and game republic were making an Xbox exclusive.
