CoD4 on XBox had split screen. Just google it for proof.

I get the impression the comment about having everything the original had is in the context of online modes, the lack of clarification on split screen multiplayer makes me pessimistic.

Looking at the screenshots of the game... yes. Halo 2 looked better, even Halo CE.

Since when does 2 games = plenty?

2 games are exceptions and don't make it the rule.
