Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Are there any good Wii Ware games released in the last 6 months?

Not much. In the last six months, I've only bought NyxQuest, Swords & Soldiers, Bubble Bobble Plus, Bonsai Barber, Bit Trip Beat, and Tales of Monkey Island.

So yeah, pretty much a wasteland.

For those few of us who still play games on PC from time to time, I would definitely recommend Tales of Monkey Island for PC instead of Wii.

Minor advantages: No lags, looks a bit better.
Major advantage:  Way cheaper (full game: 50 US$/EUR on Wii, 35 US$ on PC).

Special comparison for people from EURO countries to make it clearer: ToMi on Wii = 50 EUR = US$71, ToMI on PC = US$35 = 25 EUR.

Around the Network

World of Goo is overrated.

Over the last 6 monhts, great games for WiiWare have been released, don't know where your head has been.

Bobble Bubble Plus!
Bust a Move Plus!
Nyxquest
Gradius Rebirth
Bit Trip Core
Bit Trip Beat
Lit
Final Fantasy IV: TAY

i might also add, that tales of monkey island for wiiware is horrible, the lag, and framerate are really bad, you're better off buying the pc version, which is also cheaper if you buy all 5 episodes.

Yeah, I know the PC version is better in almost all respects, but it's much easier for 2-4 people to play it together in a living room than at a desk. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one, so to speak.

The lag is nothing after trying to play Discworld on a 68030 Mac. Hardly impacted the game at all.
