Ok so this hasn't actually happened but just been reading over at ign that take-two are considering buy-out bids. If nintendo where to make this purchase how far would it go to making Wii no. 1 this gen? Or would it be a waste of money?

Depends on which studios is included, and for which price. But to be in controll over GTA and Guitarr hero (I think this games is under Take-Two, am I wrong) wouldn't be that bad. I do not think they would do it, but microsoft would be stupid if they didn't buy take-two, ps3 killed confirmed?

While I wouldn't go as far giving an out right ban. I think what Ranzchic is getting at is your thread title. Its misleading. You should have titled it Should Nintendo By Take Two or What if Nintendo Buys Take Two. The way you have it titled currently leads posters to believe Nintendo bought Take Two. They haven't.

After a company gets to a certain size it no longer becomes a cost-effective way to increase exclusive development for your platform. You would have to be pretty foolish to buy a company as large as Take-2 to gain access to their good games...

In your eyes was rare considered a large company?

plus how many console sales on the potential of what rare where capable of delivering? surely a fair few nintendo 64 owners left nintendo to follow rare to xbox, also im pretty sure the figure was around 400 million.
