Car washes? Why?

Anyway, 1,000 cars is getting to stupid levels, will you be able to drive them all? And how many of them are truly unique?

However, as ever, the most important thing is that it has the Top Gear test track

This.

Also, is racing a Prius or an electric car actually appealing to people?  Just pick one of the dozen's of sub-compacts they'll throw in the game and hit mute for the same level of excitement.

Well I imagine the Tesla Roadster they are putting in the game is going to be fun to drive

You guys no nothing of electric cars.

100% of the torque 100% of the time.

The Tesla Rodster would pwn almost any high end roadster no the market today.

Now the prius and other hybrids, idk. Must be souped up for street racing or something. lol.

Dont include me with them,  I mentioned the Tesla Roadster damnit!!!!!!

Umm....Forza 3= 2 years in development.... comes out in Oct.

GT5= 5+ years in development...comes out...when again?

Lets face it, the only reason GT5 will ahve the edge over Forza is because Turn 10 decided not to go on a 5 + year dev cycle and give them a game they will still enjoy...

Turn 10 didn't have a choice... Their penny pinching publisher wouldn't allow it. IMO, even if they got the 5+ yead dev cycle it wouldn't have been as good as GT. PD is way too experienced in the genre.

*eyeroll*.....

What a fanboyish statement. I'm pretty sure you don't need car washes in a video game....

Seriously...they both good ( yet cocky) devs... if it wasn't for Forza, PD wouldn't even think of car damage or online videos. If it wasn't for GT, Forza wouldn't have proabbly existed. Fanboys just need to take the wool off their eyes and stop acting like there isn't room for either game.

I'm a fanboy for stating that Polyphony Digital is experienced in making racing simulators??? For your information, PD was founded in 1998 and the only games they've ever developed were racing sims.

You said they were too experienced meaning that no one can catch up to how they make racing sims...which is farther than truth. Any new dev can come in a blow them out the water, just because u have experience doesn't mean you can't be beateb in ur own game...

Like is said they're both good devs ( did u see me bad mouthing PD?), people need to stop acting like it's a dick-waving compeition....

From my experience GT has always been the best racing sim (and I've tried some PC racers as well). PD hasn't been dethroned in the past 10 years; what makes you think that "any new dev can come in a blow them out the water"? And PD doesn't just have experience; they hadn't experience when they made GT1, yet it was kickass. Besides the huge stockpiles of experience, PD also has a love of racing and an incredible amount of talent as can be seen from their GT series.

"Forza what ?"

that the probleme of FM3, it is lacking any brand of recognition ...

if GT5 is out this year, and it will, then Forza will be non event

Sony has just to make it know to everybody has soon as possible ;)

When is TGS ?

Of course it's a non event...look how long the series has been going.....I mean people have been waiting for this since it was announced in 2004.

How the hell u gonna compete with something that's well known when ur franchise started getting real notice after your second game came out?

Comments like these deserve a facepalm.

Again this a GT5 thread....fanboyish comments need to be put aside....

WAIT WAIT WAIT

Am I stupid ? or it is the other guy that is retarded ?

Do they control with buttons and analog sticks in real life too?

No, they use steering wheels and pedals. The same way most people play racing games.

Didn't think that statement through, did you?

I'll take a wild guess and say that "most people" do not play racing games with a $300 accessory.  It's probably a higher percentage on PC with even just a wheel than on the consoles though.

Consoles Owned: Atari 2600, NES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, N64, Gamecube, Wii, XBOX360

Gran Turismo 2 had car washes too IIRC.

So there's no possible way a new dev can make a better game than PD does? And have the same love for racing and talent? Cuz taht's what it seems like you're saying.

...You can buy a steering wheel for less than a regular PS3 controller.

You can try to come up with all the defenses you want, point is, you didn't think that through.

Wait what? I gave him a question not question his intelligence. Ok...I'm convinced now that what u and me were having was a conversation while this one is trolling...

And where did he get Dec. 2009 from? Cuz if Sony or PD confirm this I'll end this now...
