Think about it this way.

They haven't even made a comment on it (actually proof that it exists), and yet everyone has heard about it and told their friends. They haven't even spent a dime, and yet it is one of the biggest news stories on the net atm.

It's on purpose.

Should of seen Microsoft last year. :P

Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

First Versus gameplay this year.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe one of the biggest news stories in the gaming world on the net.

Normally if the leak is deliberate they hold something really cool in reserve for the formal announcement, to create a bit of hype at the time the leaks are officially confirmed. We'll see what happens I suppose.

@binary,
yeah sorry that is what I meant lol.
However, it was on yahoo news page, and on some other non-gaming sites, so that's interesting in itself.

The PS3 Slim is not a secert, same with the motion controll. When companies ask Sony if the stuff is true and sony says "we wont comment at this time", that meens its not a secert and its true.

If they were to say something like "No, that stuff is fake". then it would supposed to be a secert

Maybe, but I think it actually gets more attention if it is 'leaked'

Yeah, they do...

Dammit you and Seece are completely fucking with my brain! Stop it!

OT: They have issue with leaks, the last guardian was certainly not a pleasant leak for Sony as the impact was severely dampened by the leak and the slim and PSPGo are two of the industry's worst kept secret.

Anyone claiming that Sony intentionally leaks is extremely naive. Firstly it accomplishes nothing, and it gives the competition an advantage. Talk about never having the element of surprise. Further more it kills your credibility, and educates consumers to gain knowledge from rumors. Which guess what means you have to debunk bogus rumors, and that consumers will be confused about the true nature of something after you officially announce it. Leaking is just bad business, and if we have learned anything Sony isn't doing a very good job right now. Hasn't for quite some time. The simplest answer is usually the right one. Sony has piss poor corporate security. I sure as hell would not assume they are somehow being clever.

They're pretty good at creating hype before an event, plus you can't really call PS3 slim to be leaked since we don't even know how the thing is going to look like. They only keep things secret they really wish to keep secret, like FFXIV which came totally out of the blue. PSP Go was an utter mistake though, but a mistake well blown away by Jack who made a joke out of it.
