i was wondering this questions earlier and i was wondering why nintnedo is the best. i always knew they were the best but i always wanted to know why everyone else thought they were the best. so i n a few senterneces . write about how nintndo nis the best because i like mario and zelda and i like nintendo and so does eveyone. they were the first gaming company

Nintendo is the best because they have created some of the best local multiplayer games I have ever had the pleasure to experience. And 2d Mario.

They weren't the first gaming company as far as electronic games go but they did rescue the market after the 1983 crash and became the mainstream (until Sony showed up) and for many their first gaming expreince. I think most people like Nintendo because they always put fun into thier games and they try different things. They have a unqiueness to them. They have 'magic' in thier games and you feel good playing them. That's whyy for me at least.

If you mean best from a business point of view then thats simple.

1. They do not compete with others, they focus only on profit and long term success
2. S Iwata runs the company with common sense not business school credentials
3. They never sell things for a loss

One word - Miyamoto!

Nintendo is the best because they put their heart into what they do. Sounds corny, but it's true.

As to why Nintendo are the best? They consistantly create titles of the highest quality and they have been able to keep their key franchises fresh for many many years where others have failed to do that.

They innovate in all areas including; interface, hardware, gameplay, marketing and business models.

Their games include the likes of Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Minish Cap, Metroid, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Metroid Fusion, Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, Donkey Kong Country, F-Zero, Starfox, Starfox 64, Super Smash Bros, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Kirby Adventure, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Nintendogs, Brain Training, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Wii Sports Resort and many many more..

why are they the best?

They've made a name for themselves in the gaming industry so people have come to associate their branding with quality...simple as that.

90% of people who've played both persona 4 and final fantasy 12 would tell you that persona 4 is the better game. However, FF would stay at the helm of the JRPG scene because squaresoft has successfully associated the FF name with quality over the years. Back in the day, I'd buy any RPG game with squaresoft on the box until they started to falter.

Many people hold the same faith in nintendo that I used to hold in the old squaresoft (a faith I now hold in only FF games from S-E). Perhaps this is the reason nintendo won't gamble by publishing titles they are unsure of (think of the conduit and Winter) so they don't risk damaging their image like S-E has done.

They were not the first gaming company.

However, they are the only gaming company that still makes consoles. MS and Sony are more concerned with the business aspect of dominating the living room, while Nintendo focuses purely on gaming.

With nothing to focus on but gaming, of course they are the best. 360 and PS3 just get PC gaming leftovers.

They weren't the first gaming company, Atari was.

Anyway, people think that Nintendo are the best because Nintendo have been in the business for a LONG time, they almost always focus on quality without a thought towards commercial success (ALMOST always, they tend to be doing this less of late), their PR doesn't attack other companies, they never badmouth competitors in any way, and because they innovate more than Sony and Microsoft put together.

I don't think they're the BEST, as such, but I do respect them as a company and, indeed, like them very much.
