@khan - I can go t asus and rebrand stuff in photoshop of one of their mobos and call it the PS3 slim mobo. Until we get an official announcement, Im skeptical.

@Viper - I've had guys on ym dev team swearing they had insider info about other companies before, or had solid contacts. In the end, they were just attention whores. Sure, its possible, but until its official, I am a denier.

Again, software sells hardware.

Playstation 1 and 2 were successful only because of their powerful lineup, to begin with. A console with 0 good games worths $0.

Maybe a single sytem seller game's effect is more subtle, but it is there for many years, while the price cut is there until the counterpricecut.

 


umh, DSi pushed NDS sales, didnt it?

By innovating the experience & gameplay, offering and promising more and better software.

 

A Slim version's only selling point would be new price.

yes, and DSi and DS lite made sales even better. sorry but saying PS3 slim (if its real) wont push PS3 sales is just ridiculous

DSi may as well count as a whole different system, more powerful, better screens, ports added, btter hardware, two freaking cameras

Ps3 slim would be basically  a ps3 with Less parts.
