What I've read of Google Caffeine so far suggests that it's just changes under the hood, i.e. stuff that 99% of users will never know or care about. It isn't going to be a game changer of any kind.

I've been trying Bing out for a few weeks now, and in my opinion it works just as well as Google does.

I find your sig distasteful. You're taking the piss out of disadvantaged people, just so you can attempt to appear smart and edgy. You come off as ignorant and arrogant, and I really think you should remove your sig. Obviously I don't expect you to care what I think given how you've attempted to justify your sig, but I'd like to see you justify it to the mods.

On topic: Microsoft's search engine getting 'owned' by Google is nothing new. Google have a near monopoly on the search engine market.

Considering that these judges likely know nothing about the technology being sued over, I fully expect it to be appealed and found that the patent is invalid or does not apply to MS Word.

Also, in 2000, it seems they made a deal with the US Patent Office and the full intention was to use their new XML s4/TEXT with MS Word:

And from i4i's own website it seems the majority of their XML authoring software REQUIRES MS Word... so this is a very odd case if they want it banned.  If anything they should just force MS to patch the software to remove whatever internal programming it has for XML and then sell new versions without that included.

At the absolute least I expect the appeal to remove the ban on MS Word software being sold.  I mean it took 4 years to validate the patent in a time when XML was a brand new thing.  The patent very likely does not apply to MS Office 2003, a whole 9 years later full of advancements from the time the original patent was filed.
